Community Highlights: Meet Tawnie Breaux of Holistic View Retreats

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tawnie Breaux.

Hi Tawnie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Holistic View Retreats began from a deep personal love for growth and healing. I’ve always enjoyed going to retreats—there’s something transformative about taking time to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with yourself. Over the years, I immersed myself in different healing modalities: yoga, breathwork, mindset work, and holistic health.

As a certified professional coach and someone who runs a marketing agency, I’ve seen how powerful it is when women are given space to pause, reflect, and realign. I created Holistic View Retreats as a place for women navigating life transitions—whether it’s burnout, career shifts, or rediscovering their purpose—to gather, learn, and heal in a supportive environment.

It’s a blend of mindset coaching, movement, nourishing food, nature, and soul-level connection. What started as a passion project has turned into something really meaningful, and I feel honored to hold space for others as they come home to themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been worth every bump. Planning retreats is beautiful, but it’s also a huge undertaking. From coordinating instructors and creating meaningful programming to marketing the retreat and getting people to actually commit—it’s a lot. There are moments where you wonder if it’s all going to come together.

One of the biggest challenges is helping people see the value of slowing down—especially in a world that glorifies being busy. But once they arrive, and I see the shift in their energy, the breakthroughs, the tears, the laughter—that’s what makes it all worth it. Every struggle fades when someone says, ‘This changed my life.’

Retreats take faith, flexibility, and a lot of love. And I’ve learned that just like the healing we offer, the process itself is a journey.

As you know, we’re big fans of Holistic View Retreats . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Holistic View Retreats, we create soulful experiences that help women reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with their purpose. We offer full weekend retreats as well as one-day retreats in Houston (Zen Out Sundays) that combine yoga, meditation, journaling, cold plunges, and sound baths. Whether you’re feeling burned out, in transition, or simply craving stillness, our retreats offer a beautiful space to reset and realign.

What sets us apart is our intentionality. Everything we do is designed to be heart-centered and healing, from the workshops and guided practices to the environment we create. I love collaborating with others to bring holistic healing through nutrition, breathwork, hypnotherapy, and other healing practices to our sessions. You can follow us on IG @holisticviewretreats to learn about our events.

I also bring joy and movement into the community through weekend goat yoga classes at Rose Therapeutic Farms. It’s a fun and playful way to move your body, connect with animals, and experience the healing power of laughter and presence. All ages and levels are welcome—it’s truly a feel-good experience.

What I’m most proud of is how our brand creates a real connection. Holistic View Retreats isn’t just about wellness—it’s about helping women rediscover their joy, their purpose, and their wholeness. Whether you’re joining us for a full retreat or a simple yoga class, you’ll be met with warmth, authenticity, and a deep commitment to your growth.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Absolutely – I’m a big believer in feeding your mind and spirit with things that elevate you. Some of my favorite books that have truly shaped me are The Success Principles by Jack Canfield, The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod, and of course, the Bible. These bring clarity, purpose, and a strong foundation both personally and professionally.

I also really enjoy Mindvalley content for expanding mindsets and exploring new ideas around personal growth and human potential.

Whether I’m leading a team, planning a retreat, or showing up for my family, these tools keep me aligned and focused. For me, success is about staying centered, being of service, and growing into who I’m meant to be, and these resources help me do exactly that.
