Check Out Marissa Bielecki’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marissa Bielecki.

Hi Marissa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into skincare began while I was working as a practice manager at a dermatology office in Michigan. I was trained on how to perform chemical peels and instantly fell in love with the process and the results. I remember thinking, being an esthetician would be the best job! But as things shifted within the office and it no longer aligned with my values, I left and transitioned into sales – only to realize I still wasn’t fulfilled. It was actually my husband who encouraged me to follow my gut and go to esthetics school. And that was the start of everything aligning.

After becoming a licensed esthetician, I worked with all different skin types and concerns, but acne always intrigued me. It was also one of the hardest conditions to manage. That curiosity pushed me to specialize further and become a Certified Acne Specialist. I cleared clients across the U.S., but there were still a handful who weren’t seeing progress – even though they were doing “everything right.” That’s when I knew there had to be deeper, internal factors at play.

From there, I dove into acne nutrition, then integrative health, and eventually blood chemistry. Now, I’m able to run labs like GI Map and HTMA, and review clients’ blood work to identify hidden imbalances that can contribute to acne. This approach completely changed how I practice.

Today, I hold credentials as a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Acne Specialist, Certified Nutritional Aesthetics Practitioner, Integrative Health Practitioner Level 1 + 2, and have completed advanced training in blood chemistry.

I love helping clients understand their skin. In a world full of information — and misinformation — skincare can feel overwhelming. I help people simplify their routines and feel confident in their skin, inside and out. I also work virtually with clients across the country as the esthetician for Nutrition by Robyn/Clear Skin Lab, where I help identify what might be triggering acne topically — from pore-clogging ingredients to harsh product combinations and sneaky formulations most don’t even realize are a problem.

I’ll also mention I moved here from Michigan only knowing 2 people, opened my solo business 6 days later and haven’t looked back! My business has only continued to grow locally + all over the country,

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge taught me something that made me a better practitioner. Leaving the dermatology office was hard — it was a stable job, and stepping away meant starting over in many ways. When I transitioned into sales, I knew it wasn’t my path, but it was difficult to give myself permission to pursue what I actually wanted: skincare.

Esthetics school was exciting, but once I got into the real world of skin, I quickly realized that acne was far more complex than I’d imagined or learned in school. There were moments where I felt defeated – especially when clients weren’t clearing despite everything we were doing “right.” It was frustrating and humbling, but it’s what pushed me to go deeper into internal health.

I had many people doubt me along the way -whether it was switching careers, my knowledg of acne, or blending skincare with functional health. But honestly, that doubt only gave me more motivation to stay focused and prove what was possible. It made me even more committed to doing my best and creating real change for my clients.

The hardest part was probably learning to trust myself. There’s a lot of noise in this industry – I’ve had to learn to stay rooted in my training, my experience, and most importantly, in what each individual client needs.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in acne — not just from a topical perspective, but through a full-body, integrative lens. I’m a licensed esthetician, certified acne specialist, certified nutritional aesthetics practitioner, and integrative health practitioner (Levels 1 & 2). I also have advanced training in blood chemistry and work with functional lab testing like GI Map and HTMA to uncover hidden internal imbalances that may be contributing to chronic skin issues.

In short: I help women get to the root cause of their acne – whether it’s something on the surface like pore-clogging ingredients, or something deeper like gut issues, or nutrient deficiencies.

I’m also the virtual esthetician for Nutrition by Robyn/Clear Skin Lab, where I support clients across the U.S. in identifying what’s holding back their skin progress — from harsh product combinations to sneaky acne-triggering ingredients most people don’t know about.

What I’m most proud of is the way I’ve been able to combine both science and compassion in my work. Acne is emotional. It affects confidence, relationships, and the way people see themselves. So I don’t just hand clients a routine – I walk with them through the process, helping them understand their skin, build trust in their body, and feel empowered by the education they receive.

What sets me apart is the way I bridge the gap between skin and internal health. Many professionals focus on one or the other – but true, lasting results come from understanding both. I love simplifying skincare for my clients and helping them finally make sense of what their skin has been trying to tell them all along.

Lastly, there is no spa music allowed in my suite! ha!

How do you think about luck?
I believe luck only gets you so far. Most of what’s happened in my career has come from trusting my gut, continuing to learn, and doing the hard work especially when things weren’t easy. Leaving a stable job, being doubted, choosing to specialize when everyone else said to stay broad.. those weren’t lucky moments, but they were necessary.

There were also moments that felt like bad luck – certain clients not clearing, hitting roadblocks with skin cases, or even just the overwhelm of being in a saturated industry. But looking back, those challenges were the turning points that pushed me deeper into integrative health and ultimately helped me become the practitioner I am today.

So yes, there’s been some luck. But most of it has been showing up, learning from every setback, and staying grounded in my purpose.
