Today we’d like to introduce you to Russelle Avionn.
Hi Russelle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my entrepreneurial journey in 2010 with the founding of A Far Sight Entertainment, a boutique creative and digital media agency focused on helping brands communicate through visuals, video, and strategic content. Specializing in visual storytelling, brand strategy, and content marketing, the company served as my first platform for building narratives that resonate—whether through photography, film, or digital campaigns. While it’s been quiet in recent years, I’m currently in the process of rebranding and relaunching the agency to reflect a modern, more intentional approach to creative media, built for today’s entrepreneurs and purpose-driven brands.
In May 2018, I expanded into the automotive industry with Avionn Automotive, as a unique consultant appeal built around trust, clarity, and customer advocacy. That brand has since evolved into Avionn Automotive of Houston, where we now offer personalized vehicle consulting, virtual appointments, and a growing network of dealership and financing partners. Over just the past six weeks, we’ve enhanced our digital presence, launched a referral rewards program, and begun positioning Avionn Automotive of Houston as a go-to resource for anyone wanting to buy smarter and feel more confident in the car-buying process.
Then in August 2023, I launched Savory Scratch Kitchen, a Houston-based food truck delivering bold, scratch-made comfort food—from wings and burgers to tacos, gumbo, and breakfast plates. We’ve built momentum fast, serving both local pop-ups and private events, while also maintaining strong ratings on DoorDash. What started as a food concept has grown into a culinary brand committed to flavor, consistency, and community. (More at savoryscratchkitchen.com)
Today, I’m proud to lead three purpose-driven brands across three very different industries—creative media, automotive consulting, and food service. But at the core of each is the same belief: that if you serve people with heart, build with intention, and stay consistent, your work will always speak for itself.
And truthfully, I’m just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a smooth road—but one I’ve learned to walk with resilience.
There were moments early on where I had the vision, but not the resources. Times where business was slow, funding was tight, and I questioned if I was building the right thing. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced self-doubt, burnout, and the pressure of trying to wear every hat at once—especially while growing multiple brands at the same time.
There were also setbacks that forced me to slow down and rebuild—moments where I had to pivot, learn from mistakes, and remind myself why I started. Whether it was launching Avionn Automotive without the roadmap, or working long, late nights in the food truck just to keep Savory Scratch Kitchen moving forward—every challenge sharpened me.
But I’ve learned that pressure produces clarity. I’ve become more intentional, more patient, and more focused because of those struggles. And I’ve come to understand that the “hard” parts are where the real growth happens.
So no, it hasn’t been smooth. But it’s been worth every bump.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently operate across multiple industries—automotive consulting, food service, and creative media—all tied together by a common thread: helping people make smarter decisions, feel seen, and experience quality.
On the automotive side, I’m the founder of Avionn Automotive, a consulting service that helps clients navigate the car-buying process with strategy and clarity. I take pride in educating buyers, negotiating deals, and ensuring they feel protected from start to finish. What sets me apart is that I don’t just sell cars—I advocate for people. Every client interaction is built on trust, transparency, and experience.
In July of 2025, I also stepped into a new role with Lifted Trucks of Humble, bringing my expertise into a dealership setting known for its high-performance trucks and unique builds. This new chapter allows me to combine the fast-paced environment of retail with the thoughtful approach I’ve refined through my consulting background.
Outside the automotive space, I’m the founder of Savory Scratch Kitchen, a food truck I launched in August 2023. We serve bold, scratch-made comfort food throughout the Houston area, and it’s become a brand rooted in flavor, consistency, and community.
Lastly, I’m relaunching my first business, A Far Sight Entertainment, a boutique creative and digital media agency focused on helping brands communicate through visuals, video, and strategic content. It’s where I first discovered the power of storytelling, and I’m excited to take it into its next evolution.
At the heart of everything I do is this: I create spaces—whether on wheels, behind a lens, or across a sales table—where people feel taken care of, respected, and empowered to make great decisions.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that mentorship doesn’t always look like a formal relationship—it often starts with observation and intentional connection. I’ve gained mentorship by simply being in the room, listening, learning, and adding value where I could. The key is humility and consistency.
My advice for finding a mentor is this: serve before you seek. Don’t lead with a request—lead with your presence, your work ethic, and your genuine interest in someone’s journey. When you do that, the right relationships naturally take shape.
I’ve also found great success in faith-based networking environments—spaces like RIGBIZ and other Kingdom-minded entrepreneur communities—where the alignment of values creates deeper, more purposeful connections. Those environments have helped me grow not only as a businessman, but as a person.
Lastly, don’t underestimate the power of peer mentorship. Sometimes your greatest growth comes from people running beside you—not just ahead of you.
