Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Sidhu.
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
– From the Court to the Clinic to the Construction sites! –
I feel I’ve taken the most unique and unusual paths due to my love of sports, medicine and Real Estate. From playing Pro basketball in Europe directly after high school, to earning my Medical Degree and eventually stepping into the world of entrepreneurship, my journey has been unconventional to say the least.
Driven by a desire for autonomy and more quality time with my family in Houston, I founded JDASH Construction & RE Investments LLC. A real estate company that began with small renovation projects and has since grown into a thriving, self-sustaining firm handling both residential and commercial developments.
Nearly a decade later, with the business running successfully, I’m transitioning to my first professional passion—medicine—this time with a focus on sports medicine particularly in the field of Applied Sports Psych., blending my athletic & medical backgrounds to support and enhance the performance of patients, particularly athletes at all skill levels. This next chapter is about bringing everything full circle: merging my experience in sports, medicine, and business into a life and career built with purpose and balance.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been the most bumpy road imaginable. Besides finding time in a day that feels too short, between basketball practices, schoolwork, and trying to carve out some time for myself, the actual hardest part has been finding the right balance for it all. Overall through the years, I would say it’s made me more resilient to where I was able to sort of hit the ground running when forming my Construction and Real Estate company.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about JDASH Construction & RE Investments LLC?
My company has numerous crews of skilled workers for all construction needs. I tell clients nothing is too small or large for us, from tiny home bathroom or kitchen remodels to building an A-frame structure and shopping centers. We’ve also done projects in all the major Texas metro cities (Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas). So whether it’s Mechanical with AC systems, Electrical, Plumbing related work or General construction and interior home remodel projects, we can serve all.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I feel like the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way is not to get caught up in life’s everyday grind and to try and have a more balanced life, focusing on your skills & passions (which can be more than just one thing at a time).
