An Inspired Chat with Kameron Sampson of Spring

We recently had the chance to connect with Kameron Sampson and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Kameron , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Praying. I make it a priority to keep God first always. I at least try to workout or walk early in the morning. I also am very big on cleaning so just touching up a few things around the house.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kameron Sampson, I’m a Houston based photographer and videographer. I go by “Kamwithdacam” and I specialize in making memories that last a lifetime. The special thing about me is I absolutely love capturing moments and I try to make memories that last a lifetime. I started my media services about 5 years ago and I am just continuing to grow by the day. I started with my first camera in 2020 and really did not what I was doing but I told myself never give up. 2025, I am one of Houston’s most promising content creators. I am so grateful to be in this position and I’m so thankful.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory is actually came when I was a 6th grader. I remember I ran for my student council’s class president at my elementary school. I truthfully never thought about being a leader that early in life but I was blessed to be appointed to do that. From planning, to the campaign, to getting the votes from my classmates I knew I was special. That leadership that I felt I brought actually shaped me and molded me into the young man I am today.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Never give up! Always understand that a detour is redirection for something better in the future. There were so many times when I first started taking pictures that I did not feel I was good enough. I used to get so upset that I wasn’t getting recognized for something I truly shared a passion for but I never gave up. I always wanted to stamp myself as a person who was remembered for more than just using a camera. I want to impact people and leave a stamp for people to understand that if I can do it, you can do it too.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
That you have to have it all figured out before you hit a certain age. I look at myself being 27 understanding I have a lot of life to live and I’m just getting started. You do not have to have it all figured out right now. Everything happens for a reason and that means you can still control your situation. You should never play the comparison game of what somebody else has going on you should be doing the same. Trust God’s timing and understand that he would never put something on you that you can not handle.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
Not living life to the fullest. I only got one life and I don’t want to leave this world not feeling like I’ve fulfilled my purpose before I leave. I want to inspire so many young people and get the message across that you are special and you can do anything in this world you put your mind too. I grew up learning “each one teach one” and I want to help the youth fulfill their missions so they can continue to inspire others.
