Breah McMurrin & Chastell McGibbons shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Breah & Chastell, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
My most recent moment that has made me proud was being nominated for the “Girl Boss 2025 Awards” I’ve been trying to get nominated since the first time I’ve seen it & at first I got discouraged because I felt like my business & hardwork wasn’t getting the recognition I wanted & knew I deserved but 2yrs later I am nominated & will be attending as a nominee I know I was destined to win & I will win the award!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, Ladies & Gentleman I am the face behind “Bee Visualz Graphic Design” I love to help upcoming and or established entrepreneurs brand their business. What makes my brand special is that I can create & help my clients business stands out from the rest making it their own & 9/10 I’m getting it right the first time. I love when my clients express how much they love my way of branding. It brings me joy to know I can make a difference in one’s business. I’ve started this business in 2018 & I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon I’ll only get better from here. Don’t get me wrong I have had my downfalls but it’s all about making it right! I’ve worked with many people all over the world local businesses, celebrities, even people from overseas but one day I’ll love to work with some of my fav celebrities & some of the biggest companies in the world until then I’ll continue grinding for it
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My cousin Chastell is the reason I started this business. She’s a hairstylist & I always made her branding digital products & prints. She always used to tell me how many people would ask her who made her flyers, invitations, or her thank you cards…& she always told them “my cousin” lol. One day I guess she got tired of them asking & told me I need to make this a business. I made it happen & took off ever since. I want to publicly thank her for seeing me before I could see myself! She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself & I’ll forever be thankful & grateful for that!
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be “Never let anyone dim your light or shine even if it’s family. Keep going and don’t stop!”
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say my daughter is what matters to me the most. She’s the reason I grind so hard the way I do. I never want her to struggle the way I have & I’ll make sure of it. She’s one of the BEST things that has EVER happened to me I would NEVER take her for granted!
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I would stop wasting time procrastinating about things I really want to do in life instead of trying to stay in my comfort zone.
