Hi Seth, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey, I’m Seth, the founder of Kennedy’s Pet Services and a proud advocate for quality care, community connection, and doing things with heart. My journey into the pet care industry started back in 2009, when I saw a real need for dependable, compassionate service for families and their four-legged pets. What began with a few dog walks and pet food deliveries quickly grew into something bigger.
In 2013, I opened our first location in Old North St. Louis, a neighborhood that taught me the value of showing up and building trust. Shortly after, I relocated to Houston, Texas, where I now operate two thriving locations. I bring a deep respect for the people and pets we serve, because this work isn’t just about grooming. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, and creating spaces where pets feel safe and cared for.
What makes Kennedy’s Pet Services stand out is we offer personalized grooming and treat every pet like family. Our clients know they’re getting professional care backed by passion, consistency, and love. We believe in kindness and excellence.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust is built over time through actions, consistency, and respect. But it can be broken quickly when dishonesty, disrespect, or disloyalty happens. If someone compromises their morals or chooses convenience over integrity, the bond is broken.
What restores that trust isn’t just words, it’s accountability. It’s showing up, owning mistakes, and choosing honesty even when it’s uncomfortable. It’s clear, open communication that rebuilds understanding and reminds people what respect is.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that most things are a distraction. Stay focused.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
If you look good, you’ll feel good and perform good.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone, I hope the story people tell is that I showed up for my people. That I didn’t just talk about success, I helped others find it for themselves. I want to be remembered as someone who opened doors, passed down knowledge, and put folks on to something new. Whether it was learning a trade, building a business, or simply believing in their own potential, I want my legacy to be full of people who leveled up because I was willing to sacrifice, teach, and stand beside them.
I didn’t do it for recognition. I did it because I know what it’s like to need a hand and not have one. So I became that hand. And if the people I poured into go on to pour into others, then I know I did something that lasts.
