Story & Lesson Highlights with Dr Pi’cean Ve’nna of Sugarland

Dr Pi’cean Ve’nna shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Pi’cean, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I think since the last time we talked, things have changed. I’m walking a path  of Christ we’re  I’ve reached a peak of my life where I start to build a better relationship with God and I’ve been walking  and incorporating God in my business I think at one point when I started my business I was most definitely wondering, but now I have a clear path on what it is I’m doing and where I’m going because now my path includes God.

And I’m a mom now which I solely enjoy so much.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Dr. Pi’cean Ve’nna I am the founder of Zola Marie aesthetics where we offer a variety of none invasive weight loss treatments, Shapewear etc .. I am also currently the CEO and founder of my newest baby that I launched  about 2 1/2 years ago almost 3 “Prayer Babes”  It’s my nonprofit organization for women where we have Incorporated business with prayer business with God and where we created a safe space for women to thrive in their life and love God at the same time. I am currently also the executive pastor at Rebirth Ministry Church where we thrive in creating a home for you to feel welcomed, loved, healed, restore, and redeem.  And a safe space to worship and learn of God in spirit, and in truth . I think what makes things different from the last time I’ve interviewed you guys as I’ve told you before now  . I incorporate God that’s what I set my brand aside from other brands” I sought with God on how to do my marketing I sought with God on how to brand my products I sought with God on any plans pertaining my business so that’s what make my business unique” and of course lol ;  I use my own products. Something I’m working on now for Zola. Marie is going back to relaunch cosmetics and adding Skin care  in honor of my  late Grandmother  “ Nora Lee”initially when I interviewed  with you guys, we were doing just cosmetics, and we shifted over to shapewear because it thrived for us . But now we want to  get back into the beauty field ; offering a variety of products.  Also, im currently  launching” Prayer Princess with Dr. TC CoFounder ,  and Ceo “Dr . Charpei “ which is a nonprofit  organization for girls age 6 through 18 .

We would teach them how to pray we would teach them how to do resumes .We help prepared them for college, we specialize  helping them build their self-esteem. We will teach them how to love themselves . We will  create a safe space for girls so they can be healed so they can “ROAR “ in this world !! we want them to know that they can be anything they want even if it’s a president !

Where they can be the best of their ability and success in their life!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I think that’s such an amazing question. I think their earliest memory of feeling powerful is realizing I had the strength to get up and keep going after watching them Pull the plug on my two week old son .Then having to bury him that same week while still dealing with postpartum .  Also complications from the labor so I think at that moment I realize that I had the strength of a warrior . I realize I had the strength of a woman and I realize I had the strength of God because it was one of the most challenging things in my life to be a mom and to watch your child take his last breath . I think at the moment I realize that I was powerful. You never know your strength that you possess until  you’re in a predicament where your back is against the wall and you have to show how strong you really are.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me character. Suffering help me teach Patience suffering taught me humbleness suffering built me. The suffering built me to be the woman that I am. The suffering showed me the oil of God that I possess. The suffering showed me the anointing was over my life. The suffering showed me the favor that I had from God the things that the suffering taught me the success couldn’t  give me because  after I suffered for a little while then God gave me the success that I possessed . At this moment, the suffering built the character out of me. The suffering showed the warrior in me. The suffering gave me strength. The suffering gave me life. The suffering showed me that I had a fight in me to get to this point. If I could tell anybody right now that’s reading this I would tell them the suffering was not easy, but the suffering is a sacrifice for your set up for your success.  If success was handed to you, you wouldn’t have the humbleness and you wouldn’t have the grace and you wouldn’t have the kindness and you wouldn’t have the love because now you appreciate the success a lot more because of the suffering that was built from it.  I want women to understand that, regardless of the situation, regardless of the outcome, regardless of what it looks like that you can still thrive despite of the circumstances. And I did just that I took my pain and I put it into God and I put God into my business and I did Candles for my kids. I did Clothing for my kids that was very successful for me. So to the woman that’s battling depression to the woman that’s better and heartbreak to the woman that’s better  suicide “ Sis. it won’t always be like this and there is light at the end of your tunnel ! and you are not alone !and girl you got this.”

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely I’m a what you see is what you get type chick what you see is what you get. I’m the same today tomorrow and yesterday.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I’m hoping that they tell you how loving I am  how compassion I am I’m hoping they talk about my persistency my determination. Hopefully they talk about my character and the person I am to people.
