Janet, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got into the beauty industry twenty-two years ago as a young mother with three kids and a husband. My reason for being in this industry was because of my mother. I always admire how my mother took care of herself. She’d always kept her make-up, hair and nails done and it always made her feel good. Why not get into the beauty industry to make other women feel good about themselves and to see the smile on their face.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Throughout the years of being a nail technician it had been pretty good. In this industry you must learn to be patient with yourself and remember to keep reaching for higher goals.

Moore Glitz is a Nail Salon that offers Manicures, Pedicures, Acrylic nails, Chrome nails, Gel nails, natural nail care etc. My pedicures and acrylic nails are my most popular services. I’m proud of my confidence, learning, values, and the dedication that I have put into my business and wanting it to grow into something so much bigger than what it is.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My major supporters and cheerleaders have been my Husband Michael and my three kids. They have pushed me and told me that I could do this and make it all mine. Without them, I don’t think I would have stepped out of my box and pursue my dream of being my own boss of a nail salon.
