An Inspired Chat with Cosmin Sturza

We recently had the chance to connect with Cosmin Sturza and have shared our conversation below.

Cosmin, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
Thank you for having me, it’s great to be here again. If there’s one thing people often get wrong about what I do, it’s the idea that entrepreneurship is smooth sailing. It isn’t. There’s no steady paycheck, no set hours, and the workday rarely ends when the clock says so; what is built is exactly what is worked for, day in and day out.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
It’s great to be back and share what’s new. I live at the crossroads of music and building things, still producing, still growing, and always experimenting. OA beats has become my home base: a beat store and catalog for artists and creators where we offer instrumental productions from Club beats, Pop beats, to Rap beats, Afrobeats and so on, powered by a YouTube community of over 100,000 subscribers that we grew together with Firizan Ioan and Valentin Nantu…hours, ideas, and consistency stacked one upload at a time. I’ve been leaning into sound for screen too, with a fresh catalog for film music.
On stage, the past three years have been a whirlwind with BELLE, a female dj – EDM project that’s taken us to huge stages like Untold Festival, Neversea, Kapital, and BeachPlease!, and taught us a ton along the way.
And the cherry on top: this year I stepped further into entrepreneurship with Delulu Cola, a beverage company, where I teamed up with Sorin Florea, to build a multi‑flavor cola brand launching in Romania later this year, eyes on Europe next, and why not the U.S. after that.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me the most about work. They are resilient, hard working people who pursued what they wanted with persistence, and growing up witnessing their effort shaped my standards. That example sparked a lifelong ambition to be self‑taught and to build things from the ground up, work that I now approach with discipline, pride and endurance.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Absolutely. I’ve lived through a few heavy chapters, the kind that push someone to the edge and I kept them to myself, which, somehow… triggered a drive to push harder and made me tougher. What I’ve learned is simple: if it’s broken and you’re at the cliff, that’s your cue to evolve. You fall, you grind, you change things and when you stand back up, you’re beyond who you were before. That lesson stuck, and now dips like that don’t shake me anymore.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m all-in on anything I start. I make things with heart, and that keeps me showing up, no matter how long it takes. Delulu Cola is my newest obsession, a cola that feels unique in flavor and brings people into the story we’re building.
The long term goal is impact, by supporting talented artists, kids, art, sports + many more surprises that we prepare, so the brand doesn’t just exist in market, it actively gives back.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If immortality were real, what would you build?
With forever on the clock, the dream would be simple and bold: a kinder world where people lead with harmony and love.
