We recently had the chance to connect with Cheyenne Chanel and have shared our conversation below.
Cheyenne, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
In my daily life I am a Global Health Program Manager for a prestigious university, but my entrepreneurial pursuits are driven by my passions. Influenced by the city, I have created my own world by turning my daily joys into streams of income, and ultimately a collective lifestyle brand.
My alter ego, Cheyenne Chanel, has emerged to establish the Instagram account @CheyenneAndOtherThings – serving as the epicenter of my entrepreneurial endeavors while I share my daily life and personality with the public for marketing.
Luckily, I’ve been able to generate a consistent stream of monetary income thru modeling, music video bookings, influencer event offers, high profile YouTube appearances, and sponsored brand collaboration by consistently posting and simply being myself.
My most personally exciting joy has been the successful launch of Cheyenne Chanel, the pop-up shop introducing women to Dopamine Fashion. Where classic meets glamour you can find a Signature Cheyenne Chanel handbag, along with other Cherry themed products at The Famous Market in the Pearland Town Center shopping mall!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Led by my passions, I have constructed my own artistic world, met a variety of people, and learned about other entrepreneurial pursuits. I have continued to build deeper relationships with open minded individuals, embrace unique experiences, and became greater in touch with all sides of my personality and true happiness. The explorative pursuit to expand and transform my routine into monetary income, based on seeking the highest level of personal daily joy, didn’t stop.
The overarching lifestyle brand, Cheyenne & Other Things, was established to foster my future businesses based around the philosophy of The Happiness Scale. Raised in New Mexico, I grew up with a great spiritual awareness of living daily life interconnected with the natural flow of the environment and the necessary adaption to the demand or supply of my surrounding to maintain a means of survival.
Houston has one of the highest rates of pet ownership, along with a groomer or specialized pet store always nearby. I start my days by walking to buy a coffee and enjoying fresh early morning air with my dogs. As much as I love caring for and spending time with my Yorkies, it just made sense to allow them to breed naturally. As a niche within the dog breeding realm, my focus is to provide a standard of care and high quality of daily life to my personal pets, to foster the development of high-quality pups. Named after the dog breed’s big personality, Cheyenne & Fido’s Yorkie Fight Club, is the Yorkshire Terrier breeding kennel created under my canine focused business portfolio.
Being a caretaker for the feisty and bold, yet irresistibly cute dog breed – raised my own awareness of the personal joy I gained from exercising a softer, more nurturing side of my femininity. I learned how much I enjoyed providing a safe, welcoming, and stable environment to foster happiness in others – including my fuzzy companions. The next kennel to be launching out of Cheyenne & Fido is the Black Billionaire’s Club, specializing in pedigree quality-of-life breeding of Giant Schnauzers. Ironically, the breed was recently awarded the 2025 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show’s Best in Show title.
An acquaintance of mine was retiring from the NFL, and I had the great opportunity to learn about the benefits of becoming an Airbnb Host based on his firsthand experience. The business platform provides the core structure necessary to create passive income along with the long-term potential to build generational wealth. I decided to take my biggest entrepreneurial risk by launching the Rolls Royce inspired Airbnb listing, Starlet.
With a positive investment return, the listing remains a consistent and reliable source of income as the three-year anniversary approaches in August 2025. The Airbnb listing has become a family business and in a short time achieved Super Host status. I hope to scale the short-term vacation rental business, Nights In Cheyenne, to a total of six locations with each listing designed to have a unique interior aesthetic in a permanent condo.
After marketing products for other local and national brands, I am now dedicating the same skills and resources to rebrand my current e-commerce store and launch the boutique, Cheyenne Chanel, as both an online marketplace and physical pop-up. Reflecting my personal and professional style – the clothing retail, sustainable resale, and custom designer brand will cater to women who appreciate luxury taste, lasting quality, and the emboldening experience of Dopamine Dressing.
Through soft touches of cherry blossoms, sheer lace, rhinestones, and pink pearls – the pop-up’s environment will be aimed at creating a dreamy ambience with high attention to detail. Find Cheyenne Chanel on the shelves at The Famous Market in Pearland Town Center as of September 2025.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Over the past three years, I really transformed into a woman who loves herself. I learned how to drop the ego and really put myself on go! It is easier to move through the world in a positive mindset and remain flexible to collaboration. I focus on the goals I create for myself, knowing I am my own worst enemy and only competition, as I transcend forward. Giving myself the grace to take time as a creative process or idea marinates and develops has been the most beneficial lesson learned about myself.
I appreciate the emotional lessons of entrepreneurship, although challenging, it has taught me patience. I know God will guide my mind and heart to the places and rooms I am meant to be. I just try to remain calm and tuned into his light through joy in my life. Whenever there is an issue or challenge I face in business, I know the solution will arrive along with a greater reward from God – as long as I am trying to make progress. Even when I fail, I trust I am being rerouted by God to the right direction.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Being a perfectionist. In may ways the trait transcended me from being a kid from the trailer park to a successful young adult. Having a chip on your shoulder, paired with an ego, is lighter fluid for determination. Over the last five years I experienced a lot of personal growth in a short period of time. My personality truly shifted away from the self-judgement and strict discipline associated with being a “Type A” personality to living in a relaxed, calm mindstate.
Learning to embrace the dips and peaks of my mood to guide my productivity really allows my body to work in a more clear, meditative state in sync with my heart and mind. Emotional regulation is a skill I really wished I had learned sooner in life. Instead of utilizing my emotions as a fuel for productivity, I now tap into my moods like a metronome. The metronome tells me when to slow down, speed up, turn left, and suddenly… I’m now back into tune with the rhythm of my environment and the highest level of creative productivity.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
I love this question cause I don’t even know the answer to this one lol. Somedays I am meeting completely different versions of myself as I physically and emotionally mature. Naturally, I am someone with may different personalities and a variety of moods – plus my mind is forever growing due to new experiences or daily patterns like the layers to an onion.
For a more concrete answer, I do have a side to me that is extremely private. My home is where I sit in my own energy and recenter. I like to keep my space free of emotionally negative energy and toxicity. The easiest way to guarantee peace is to remain selective about the energy and people you let into your home and personal space.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What are you doing today that won’t pay off for 7–10 years?
XRP, but she will pay.
