Conversations with Micah Childs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Micah Childs.

Hi Micah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have always been inspired by the idea of entrepreneurship and the creative journey that derives from it. There is something so powerful in an idea taking shape and growing into your own personal vision–and even exceeding expectations.

A family friend initially encouraged me to pursue the industry by joining her business in California in 2020 and eventually branching off independently in 2021. After making Houston my home in 2024, I have continued to operate independently and serviced many clients throughout the Houston area as well as offered virtual consulting services to others throughout the nation.

My passion for tastefully designed interiors and well organized spaces in accompaniment of my interest in entrepreneurship have ushered me into this new season of growth in business. Owning Perpetually Organized allows me to incorporate aspects from both, while also creating a sense of calm and fulfilling the needs of my clients.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship has its host of challenges, but those challenges are what create the opportunities for necessary growth within the entrepreneur. There is a need to remain adaptable and pivot as needed to maintain the integrity of the business and align to its vision and goals.

As a relatively new resident of Houston, one of the challenges has been creating a network across other home service industries. I would love to connect with other business owners in home based services to build a reliable network through a sense of community. One of my goals is to have a directory of service providers to refer to my clients as needed and potentially connect each other’s client network for additional service opportunities.

Another challenge is that most of the living spaces are much larger in Texas than they are in California–which can take longer for job completion depending on the severity of the project. Stay tuned job seekers for future openings if you are interested in joining the team!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
