Today we’d like to introduce you to Erie Crawford.
Hi Erie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, I experienced the devastating loss of my husband to suicide. which inspired me to write my book “The Other Side of Midnight: A journey to healing spouses and loved ones affected by suicide.” My work aims to create a community of understanding and support, breaking the silence and stigma that often surround suicide.
My spirituality and faith in God played a vital role in finding the courage to write “The Other Side of Midnight: A journey to healing spouses and loved ones affected by suicide.” Through my deep spiritual connection, I found strength and purpose, enabling me to transform personal grief into a source of healing for others. My faith provided the resilience needed to address this delicate topic, offering hope, understanding, and compassion to those affected by the profound loss of suicide. My work is a beacon of light, guiding readers toward acceptance and healing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been anything but smooth. Losing a loved one to suicide feels like an emotional roller-coaster, filled with countless questions as you try to understand their decision. Navigating these intense emotions and thoughts to maintain control is incredibly challenging at times. I’m deeply grateful for counseling and my counselor, as they provided the guidance needed to help me overcome hurdles and learn how to manage myself and whatever challenges arose.
