Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Scott.
Hi Kristen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I always have a tough time pin-pointing exactly when the origin of my story began but I’ll start after I completed grad school in December 2020. I’d just finished my MS in Applied Data Science program after completing an MBA in May 2019. School and professional life was going great, but I was feeling stuck. I spent much of my adolescent years growing up hiding and keeping up appearances while my family experienced homelessness and loss. It kept me in “survival mode” and so I buried myself in work and university so I could learn to never experience that as an adult. After some failed romantic dates, I realized I was carrying worthiness issues from my childhood. It wasn’t just my romantic relationships that needed overhauling, but also my relationship with my family, spirituality and relationship with God, money, health – basically everything in life. I needed to create and begin to live out my own story where I was happy, healthy, in love, spiritually sound, and who had a great relationship with money. It was time for me to learn my purpose, and not just following expectations or paths that were “safe” – I wanted to LIVE. So I let life take me on a journey. I found a mentor who had a similar upbringing, had completely turned her life around and had a beautiful family, letting me know that it was possible for me (I credit her in helping me find my husband)! After being a skeptic, I began studying astrology after meeting someone who was so certain of themselves and was proud of their sun sign. That was the exact level of certainty I personally needed. Astrology became my tool for self-improvement. It showed me things about myself that I could only laugh about because of its accuracy. Finally, a tool that allowed me to be an individual. I was able to own so many things about myself that I had denied or was shamed for. Astrology gave me back my voice and power, but I never used it as a crutch or blamed the stars for my behavior. After ending up in a crossroads in my career, I naturally looked to astrology for my career trajectory. But for a while I struggled with honoring my very practical masters degrees while loving the soul-expression astrology gave me. After working with many mentors and doing many astrology consultations for others, I decided to honor both by launching Kristen Moonrise LLC, where I blend intuitive business strategy with astrological insight to help clients figure out their next money move in entrepreneurship.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely was not a smooth road. I always thought entrepreneurship was too risky to entertain, especially with my upbringing that included a lot of financial instability. I kept wanting to go the easy route with a safe job but it got in the way of my expansion. I had to limit my time in my business because my job needed me. Three days after I held a successful and fun masterclass on astrological presence archetypes, my job laid me off due to budget cuts. No more going back and forth between the old and the new Kristen as the decision was made for me. I could finally breathe. I’ve always been able to deliver results to clients – I just needed to trust myself to go all in. There’s no point in working on your spirituality if you struggle to trust. Going full-time in my business allowed my husband to step up more in his support and our relationship has improved because of it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’d consider myself a business as well as an artist and creative. I specialize in entrepreneurship consultations and I am known to combine my university studies (business and data science) and professional experience with Astrology to help others along their inner work journey. My mission is to light the flame and empower as many driven, self-led individuals into having the best relationships, marriages, businesses, friendships and life overall – a positivity that is so needed in this ever-changing world. I am most proud of helping others see themselves in a new light, activating them to make positive changes in their lives as well as lighting the flame in others. What sets me apart is that I’ve studied both the arts and sciences as well as business. I believe now is the time for us to be fully-integrated, not just over-optimized in one area of our lives. It’s more than simply healing wounds, it’s living with a healthy spirit and outlook in life.

I am open to podcasts, being featured on YouTube videos (or any other social media platform). I host masterclasses on various topics, such as relationships, communication, leadership, presence, and positioning. And of course, booking a consultation is a great way to support! I do general astrology consultations plus entrepreneurial consultations, as well as astrology for children for a soul-level look into your child’s emotional blueprint, communication style, and innate gifts whether they’re a newborn, a curious kindergartener, or a wise-beyond-their-years 14-year-old.
