Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Maggie Castillo

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Maggie Castillo . Check out our conversation below.

Hi Maggie, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
It was the morning after a big storm, and my home internet was completely out. I was on my way to the office, a little frustrated, when I called my inside sales assistant. I asked her to log into my computer at the office and check my ranking for the NAHREP top 250. When she told me I was ranked number 17, a wave of pure joy and accomplishment washed over me. In that very moment, all the hard work and dedication felt incredibly worth it, and I couldn’t help but feel an immense sense of pride.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Maggie The Daughter, and I’m a Team Lead, Mentor, and proud to be ranked as the No. 17 Agent in the Nation at Nova Era Realty, powered by Realty of America.

What makes Nova Era Realty truly special is our commitment to “Building Generational Wealth with a New Perspective.” We’re not just about transactions; we’re about empowering individuals and families to create lasting legacies through real estate. My personal journey and our brand’s mission are deeply intertwined, focusing on innovative strategies and personalized guidance to help our clients achieve their financial dreams. It’s incredibly rewarding to be a part of a movement that redefines what’s possible in real estate and helps people build a brighter future.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
When I reflect on who has taught me the most about work, one person immediately comes to mind: my mother. She has the heart of an entrepreneur and an unmatched work ethic, and she instilled in me the values of perseverance, integrity, and the importance of a strong work ethic. She taught me that true success isn’t just about achieving goals, but about the dedication and passion you bring to everything you do. Her guidance has been invaluable in shaping my approach to both my career and my life.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one thing to my younger self, it would be this: “Embrace every challenge, for they are the stepping stones to your greatest strengths and successes. Trust your instincts, work tirelessly, and never forget the power of your unique perspective. The journey will be incredible, and every moment, good or bad, will shape the phenomenal woman you are destined to become.”

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me isn’t an act—it’s me with the volume turned up. Who I am with my clients and community is who I truly am, but at home I’m more laid-back. That’s where the exhaustion shows, where the little victories no one claps for live, and where the self-doubt sometimes whispers. The difference is, in public you see my fire, but at home you see my humanness. Both are real, both are me.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m home with my family, the phones are down, and the world is quiet. That’s when I can breathe, watch my kids just be kids, and remind myself why I hustle so hard. In those moments, nothing else matters—I’m just Maggie, wife and mom, and that’s enough.
