What often goes unseen is how Gong Cha Tomball creates opportunities for young community members to connect, grow, and learn from one another. Since its founding, the business has undergone many transformations—both positive and challenging—but has remained committed to fostering meaningful experiences for the next generation.
Through training and mentorship, team members have learned how to cultivate an upbeat environment, deliver excellent customer service, and communicate effectively. Their resilience, understanding, and open-mindedness have not only strengthened the business but also enriched the community it serves.
We are incredibly proud to see this next generation blossom as our mission has always been about more than business—it’s about creating lasting memories and opportunities for young people to thrive.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Gong Cha is recognized worldwide as one of the most renowned and authentic Taiwanese bubble tea brands. Our Tomball store specifically thrives by consistently listening to our customers and valuing their feedback, allowing us to deliver the highest quality tea and service.
As a family-owned business, we bring together diverse professional backgrounds spanning the restaurant, healthcare, technology, and business industries. This unique blend of experience has enabled us to build a strong foundation for our team and establish a culture rooted in collaboration, growth, and excellence.
With more than 20 years of family experience in the restaurant industry, we were raised to understand that customers always come first. This principle continues to guide our brand today. Our story, our products, and our success are inseparable from our customers, and we remain committed to adapting and evolving to serve our community with the very best bubble tea.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
Our parents dedicated many years to owning and operating their restaurants, working tirelessly from early mornings to late evenings, often from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. Even during the holidays—typically the busiest times of the year—they rarely closed their doors. Growing up in that environment gave us a firsthand understanding of the commitment and discipline required to succeed in business.
Through their example, our parents instilled in us the values of resilience, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. Within our culture, these qualities are foundational—emphasizing diligence, humility, and determination. It is our mission to uphold this tradition and carry it forward, honoring their legacy while making them proud.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Believe in yourself and the journey ahead. One day, you’ll build more than just a business—you’ll create a space where people connect, laugh, and share moments over a simple cup of bubble tea.

Hospitality and respect for our customers. Growing up in a family of restaurant owners, we learned early on that customers always come first. That value is non-negotiable—we protect it at all costs, because it’s the foundation of our community and our business.
