We’re looking forward to introducing you to Miss Malik. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Miss , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I spend my days working my 9 to 5, going to the gym & creating content and music.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey yall im Miss Malik from Houston! I make songs, as well as poems. I also act and model. I’m originally from Texas, and am Mexican and Pakistani. I like to weave a lot of those cultural influences into my songs and style. I like to inspire and motivate others to follow their hearts desires and not limit themselves. We have 1 life as far as we know, so I think it’s worth pursuing all of our interests.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my daughter impacted my behavior and lifestyle greatly. I realized any and everything I do not only impacts her now, but will have a life long effect.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
I used to isolate in my closet. The enclosed space made me feel safe and comfortable.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That you have to niche down. You can be versatile, you’re human. Be the mess, be the beauty, be the art.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m in prayer. Prayer is the one practice that keeps me centered and guarded from the energies around me.
