Hi Tommie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey with Glow Up Lab began with a simple but powerful goal: helping people feel confident in their own skin. As a nurse with over 13 years of experience, I’ve always been passionate about combining medical knowledge with artistry to create real, lasting results for people. I saw first-hand how aesthetics could change not just someone’s appearance, but their self-esteem, their outlook, and even the way they move through life.
When I first started, it wasn’t easy. I balanced family, work, and the challenges of building something from the ground up. I knew I wanted to create more than just a med-spa, I wanted a space where people felt comfortable, cared for, and truly understood. That’s how Glow Up Lab was born.
Over the years, Glow Up Lab has grown to offer a wide range of treatments, from injectables and fat-dissolving therapies to peptides, scar camouflage tattooing, and advanced technologies like Ultherapy for skin tightening and lifting. I believe confidence doesn’t come in one form, it’s about meeting people where they are in their journey and giving them tools that work for their unique needs.
What sets Glow Up Lab apart is the personal connection. I don’t see clients as transactions; I see them as part of a community. Many of my clients share their stories with me, and together we celebrate their progress, their glow-ups, and their wins in life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Like many entrepreneurs, I had to overcome self-doubt, financial risk, and the challenge of balancing business with family life. In the beginning, it was intimidating to step out on my own and build something from scratch, especially in an industry that is constantly evolving and highly competitive.
One of the biggest challenges was educating people in my community about the value of medical aesthetics. In a smaller market like Lake Jackson, not everyone was familiar with treatments like fillers, peptides, or Ultherapy. It took patience, consistency, and a lot of conversations to build trust and show people that these services could be safe, effective, and life-changing.
There were also practical challenges, from managing overhead costs, to navigating regulations, to simply learning how to wear all the hats: nurse, business owner, marketer, and everything in between. But each obstacle has made me stronger, and it’s taught me how important it is to stay flexible, keep learning, and never give up on the vision.

With over 13 years of nursing experience, I’ve built Glow Up Lab into a place where clients can trust they’re receiving safe, professional, and personalized care. Any big plans?
Looking ahead, my vision for Glow Up Lab is to continue expanding both our services and our impact. I want to bring the latest innovations in aesthetics, from advanced skin care treatments and peptides to technology like Ultherapy, to more people in our community so they can access the same high-quality options that are usually only found in larger cities.
I’m also focused on growing our membership program, making treatments more affordable and accessible while building long-term relationships with clients. Education is another big goal, I want to help people better understand their options, feel empowered about their choices, and know that aesthetics is about self-care, not vanity.
Ultimately, my plan is to keep Glow Up Lab evolving into a place where people not only come for treatments, but also feel inspired, supported, and confident in themselves. Expansion, innovation, and community connection are at the heart of everything I’m planning for the future.
