Meet Danielle Griffin of Good Life Coaching by Danielle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Griffin.

Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey to becoming Dr. Danielle Griffin, owner of Good Life Coaching, began not with a grand plan, but with a very personal a-ha moment. About a year and a half ago, my husband, in his own unique way, told me I was “looking old.” Now, for a Black woman, that’s a statement that hits hard, especially when “black don’t crack” has been a lifelong motto. It was a wake-up call that all the stress from navigating the pandemic, a demanding job, and personal losses was finally catching up to me. I was averaging three hours of sleep, had what I call “holes in my brain,” and felt like I was just barely holding it all together.

I looked like a superwoman to the outside world—juggling a new career, a business, and even a side hustle as a yoga instructor, all while managing a busy household with a newborn. But inside, I was suffering in silence, thinking I was alone in my pain. This led me to a deep rabbit hole of research where I discovered a truth I now live by: our bodies hold onto our stress, trauma, and emotions.

That’s where somatic exercise therapy came in. It taught me how to reconnect with my body, release the physical tension, and process the emotional burdens I’d been carrying. The transformation was so profound that I knew this was my calling. I left my corporate career, became a certified hypnotherapist and a somatic exercise expert, and went on to write my book, Somatic Exercise Made Simple.

Today, I’m incredibly grateful to help other high-achievers who, like I was, are quietly struggling with the pressure of it all. I guide them to find that lasting peace and vitality, moving them from just surviving to truly thriving. It’s been the most rewarding part of my journey, and I’m so thankful to be able to help others reclaim their well-being and live a truly good life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. My journey has been a winding one, filled with significant struggles that ultimately became my greatest teachers. The most profound challenge was the internal one: navigating my own high-functioning burnout.

Like many of the professionals I now coach, I was a master of juggling, appearing outwardly successful while silently carrying immense physical and emotional burdens. My body ached from chronic pain in my hips and back, a physical manifestation of the immense stress from a demanding career and personal losses. Emotionally, I was running on empty, feeling disconnected and experiencing a frustrating brain fog that made it hard to think clearly. I was a certified yoga instructor, yet I couldn’t find peace for myself—a paradox that was incredibly frustrating.

This period was also marked by deep grief from the loss of family members and the lingering, unseen weight of past trauma. I had all the “right” things in life, but I was emotionally numb, using “busy work” as a way to avoid the underlying pain. It felt like I was holding my life together by a thread, and I was terrified of what would happen if I let go.

However, it was through navigating these very struggles that I discovered the integrated power of hypnotherapy and somatic exercise therapy, which became the foundation of my coaching practice and my book, Somatic Exercise Made Simple.

My greatest struggle was also my greatest gift. It gave me the empathy and firsthand knowledge to truly understand my clients’ pain, and it fuels my passion to help them find a different, more holistic path to wellness.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Good Life Coaching by Danielle?
What We Do and Specialize In

Good Life Coaching by Danielle is a holistic wellness practice dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities and achieve lasting well-being. Our core expertise lies in the integration of **hypnotherapy** and **somatic exercise therapy**. We believe that true healing happens when you address both the subconscious mind and the body’s physical and emotional memory. Our approach is designed for resilient professionals who are often juggling high-pressure careers with the invisible burdens of stress, chronic pain, and unresolved trauma. We’re known for our ability to help people move from a state of silent suffering to one of vibrant health and purpose.

What Sets Us Apart

What truly distinguishes Good Life Coaching is our unique, integrated methodology. While many wellness coaches focus on one modality, we combine two powerful, evidence-based practices to create a comprehensive solution. Hypnotherapy allows us to access and reprogram limiting beliefs and emotional patterns at a subconscious level. Meanwhile, somatic exercise therapy provides a gentle, yet powerful way to release physical tension and process emotional burdens stored in the body. This synergy allows us to address the **root causes** of our clients’ challenges, not just the symptoms. Our approach isn’t a quick fix; it’s a sustainable path to deep-seated healing and empowerment.

Brand Pride and Key Message

I am most proud of the authenticity and empathy that define our brand. Good Life Coaching was born from my own journey of overcoming burnout and pain, and that firsthand experience allows me to connect with clients on a deeply personal level. We’re a brand that says, “I understand what you’re going through, and you don’t have to carry that burden alone.” My book, *Somatic Exercise Made Simple*, is an extension of this mission, making these transformative practices accessible to a wider audience. We want your readers to know that a life of greater peace, vitality, and purpose is not just a dream—it’s a very real possibility. Our services, from one-on-one coaching to our signature programs, are designed to equip people with the tools to live a “good life” by feeling empowered in their own skin.
