amari franks’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to amari franks. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning amari, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Right now in my life my biggest focus is showing up for myself in every aspect of life so just doing things that genuinely make me happy without second thought, i tend to overthink a lot so just going with the flow of things and not overthinking myself out of doing things so if i get off and want to go get a massage or go do pilates that’s what i do. I’m realizing that my happiness depends solely on me so i’m doing more things that bring me joy.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Amari and i’m 22 years old from
Houston texas, i started my nail business 3 years ago at the age of 19 not knowing how or where this was going or the doors it would open for me. i started my nail business just coming home from my first year of college trying to figure out where my path of life was going looking for an outlet to express myself and doing nails has done just that for me when i get behind the desk nothing else matters it’s like a zone into my own safe place

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would have to say my sisters, i’m the youngest of 2 older sisters and they have always supported me through every phase of my life no matter if it was a temporary phase they showed up and out for me every time. They’ve spoken life back into when i genuinely couldn’t see my life past 18 they never let me fail to realize that i am bigger than my depression or any other obstacle i faced. They always tell me how proud they are of me and in some ways i motivated them even being the youngest sibling so just seeing how hard they go for me put a battery in my back like oh if they think i can do it i know i can do it !

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her that you are a lot stronger than you realize and that one day your resilience will be one of the best qualities about yourself one day you’ll look back be so proud of the women you have become.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would probably say being seen, heard, and understood. i feel like that’s the one thing that’s is very important to me because when a person really sees you it gives you the courage to speak your truth and show up authentically

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope they talk about how a young girl from houston texas who dreamed so quietly but carried determination louder than words came out on top, life didn’t hand her an easy path, but she walked it with strength, discipline, and faith that things could be better. What made her unforgettable wasn’t just her strength. It was her heart. She carried so much love inside her, always giving, always caring, always making sure people felt seen. Her life became proof that discipline and heart together can change everything, when people speak of me, they’ll remember the girl who grew into a woman of purpose.
