Hi Shawne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Shawne Hebert—an entrepreneur, wife, and proud mom of three daughters and two step-sons. Family is the heartbeat of my life, and I treasure every moment spent with them. Outside of work, you’ll often find me traveling, dancing, riding my Harley on the open road, or volunteering at the Houston Rodeo.
How I Got Started
My professional journey began long before entrepreneurship. For over a decade, I worked as a legal assistant specializing in insurance defense, later moving into marketing management with a telecommunications company. Life’s unexpected turns eventually introduced me to the insurance industry, where I discovered my passion for independence and the drive to build something of my own.
In 2009, as a single mom determined to create a better future for my daughters, I took a leap of faith and launched my first insurance agency. It wasn’t easy—it was a marathon built on grit, resilience, and a refusal to give up—but it was the beginning of a life-changing adventure.
Where I Am Today
What started as survival has transformed into purpose. Today, I run a successful agency that allows me to serve clients while also creating the freedom and stability I once only dreamed about. More importantly, my journey has given me the platform to pour into others, especially women who need encouragement to chase their own dreams.
Last year, I launched Secrets with Shawne, a podcast designed to empower women entrepreneurs. Through open conversations and inspiring interviews with remarkable female leaders, my mission is to uplift and equip women—reminding them that their past does not define their future.
Legacy and Purpose
At the core of everything I do are my daughters. They are my “why,” the reason I push forward and the legacy I’m building every day. Though I didn’t take the traditional college route, I embraced the challenges of single motherhood and carved out a path rooted in faith, determination, and love. My story is proof that with perseverance, you can create a life that not only provides but also inspires.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road hasn’t been smooth—far from it. Starting out as a single mom with no college degree, I faced financial setbacks, the challenge of building a business from the ground up. Every obstacle became a lesson, and every setback fueled my determination to create a future not just for myself, but for my family.

I own a women-owned insurance agency specializing in employee benefits for small to mid-size companies. We provide tailored solutions for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as ancillary benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) retirement plans.
What sets us apart is the way we approach benefits—with a personal touch and a deep commitment to service.
