Rising Stars: Meet DiMon (Dyme) Henderson of Humble Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to DiMon (Dyme) Henderson.

Hi DiMon (Dyme), can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey really started with a love for creativity and making people feel celebrated. I’ve always been the type of person who pays attention to the details — whether it was organizing family gatherings, creating handmade favors, or bringing a vision to life, I found joy in turning simple ideas into unforgettable experiences.

What began as a small passion project grew into my business, now known as Designs by Dyme. I wanted to create more than just parties — I wanted to craft moments that felt intentional, elegant, and memorable. The rebrand from DiMon’s Craft Studio to Designs by Dyme was my way of stepping fully into that vision, aligning with a luxury aesthetic and service that matches the level of creativity and care I put into every event.

It hasn’t been the easiest road — there have been challenges, from figuring out the business side to balancing personal hurdles — but each obstacle has pushed me to grow stronger and more determined. Today, I’m proud to not only design events and custom pieces but also bring my clients’ dreams to life in ways that leave lasting impressions.

This journey is still unfolding, but what keeps me grounded is my purpose: making people feel seen, celebrated, and surrounded by beauty.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my share of challenges along the way. One of the biggest struggles was learning how to balance passion with the business side of things. Creativity comes naturally to me, but figuring out pricing, marketing, and truly valuing my work took time and growth.

There were also personal challenges — moments when I questioned if I was on the right path, when resources felt limited, or when life outside of business made it hard to stay motivated. But every setback taught me resilience and reminded me why I started in the first place.

What helped me push through was staying committed to my vision and being willing to adapt. I had to learn that it’s okay to start small, to make mistakes, and to grow at my own pace. Those challenges shaped the foundation of my business today and made me even more passionate about creating meaningful, luxury experiences for others.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Designs by Dyme, I specialize in event planning, custom party favors, and creative design execution. My work is all about transforming visions into reality — whether it’s an intimate celebration or a luxury event, I focus on curating details that leave a lasting impression.

I’m best known for bringing a clean, elegant, and personalized touch to everything I create. From designing bespoke favors to styling events with a luxury aesthetic, I take pride in making sure every client feels like their celebration is one-of-a-kind.

One of the things I’m most proud of is my ability to adapt and elevate. What started as crafting simple designs has grown into full-scale event planning and luxury execution. I’ve had clients come to me with just a theme or a dream, and being able to turn that into a tangible, unforgettable experience is incredibly rewarding.

What sets me apart is my eye for detail and my commitment to intentionality. I don’t just plan events — I create experiences that reflect the personality, story, and vision of the people I’m designing for. That balance of creativity, elegance, and personal connection is what makes my work unique.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was quiet yet very attentive. I loved observing the world around me, picking up on the little details that other people sometimes overlooked. That part of my personality shaped a lot of who I am today because it taught me to value intention and creativity.

Even though I wasn’t the loudest person in the room, I expressed myself through creativity — whether it was making crafts, organizing small gatherings, or finding ways to add a special touch to everyday things. I’ve always had an eye for beauty and detail, and over time, that translated into the work I do now with events and design.

Looking back, I think being quiet allowed me to listen, watch, and really understand people — and that’s something I carry into my business. It helps me take someone’s vision and bring it to life in a way that feels true to them.
