Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie Wehring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Wehring.

Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Sterling Estate Solutions began in February 2022, sparked by helping a friend overwhelmed by the loss of her father and the task of liquidating his home. Though I’d long considered entering the estate sale business, this opportunity revealed both my talent and passion for the work. That first sale led to another, and by year’s end, I had completed 11 estate sales.

In 2024, I assisted a woman who had recently lost her husband but couldn’t host a traditional sale. We purchased items outright, creating a new path forward—and Sterling Consignments was born. The shop offers an outlet for those with quality items to sell, without the need for a full estate sale or the hassle of online listings.
We held our ribbon cutting for the shop in October 2024 and are now approaching our one-year mark.

Our estate liquidation services are tailored to each family’s needs, and our consignment shop provides a curated, affordable shopping experience for those who appreciate unique finds. Sterling Estate Solutions and Consignments is named in memory of my father, Sterling Crabtree, Jr., whose work ethic and heart for helping others continues to inspire everything we do.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Owning a small business comes with constant challenges, but my passion for Sterling Estate Solutions and Consignments—and my belief in its purpose—continues to fuel me through every obstacle. Right now, I’m navigating a particularly pivotal moment as we work to scale up the consignment shop. We’re focused on automating internal processes, expanding our retail space, and increasing our hours of operation to better serve our community.

Building a loyal clientele takes time, patience, and consistency, and while that journey has had its hurdles, I truly believe we’re on the cusp of something great. The foundation is strong, the vision is clear, and with the right support, we’re ready to grow into the next chapter.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Sterling Estate Solutions and Consignments, we specialize in helping families navigate life transitions with compassion, clarity, and a full-service approach. Whether someone is downsizing or managing a loved one’s estate, we offer tailored solutions that ease the burden—from hosting on-site estate sales to providing consignment options through our retail shop, Sterling Consignments.

What sets us apart is the depth and flexibility of our services. We don’t just liquidate assets—we walk alongside our clients through every step. Our offerings include complete cleanouts, professional housekeeping and staging, real estate services through a trusted local broker, and access to a network of reliable providers for lawn care, handyman work, and more. We also offer complimentary coin and firearm evaluations, and connect clients with art galleries and auction houses to ensure high-value items are sold through the most profitable channels.

We’re known for our warm, personalized service and our ability to turn overwhelming situations into manageable ones. I’m most proud of the heartfelt feedback we receive from families who say we helped them through a difficult time. We also partner with local businesses and donate unsold items to Burton Bridge Ministry, Faith Mission, and Forever Young, supporting their resale shops and community programs.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is serving families with compassion and integrity during times of transition. Whether someone is downsizing, grieving a loss, or simply overwhelmed by the process of liquidating a home, I want them to feel supported, understood, and confident that they’re in good hands.

I’ve seen firsthand how emotional and stressful these situations can be, and I take pride in offering a one-stop solution that lightens the load. It’s not just about organizing a sale or managing inventory—it’s about walking with people through a moment that often feels heavy, and helping them find clarity, peace, and even a little joy in the process.

That’s why I’ve built Sterling Estate Solutions and Consignments to be more than a business—it’s a resource, a refuge, and a reflection of the values my father, Sterling Crabtree Jr., instilled in me: work hard, help others, and do it all with heart.
