Hi Jasmeet, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our journey with ThirsTea began from a shared love for boba and the goal of bringing something fresh and community-driven to our area. As part of the ThirsTea franchise, we opened our first location to offer not only premium boba drinks but also açai bowls, rolled ice cream, and delicious snacks — creating a fun, welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.

Owning a ThirsTea has been a rewarding experience, from building a team that shares our passion to watching customers turn into regulars. It’s more than just a drink shop — it’s a place where people connect, relax, and share good moments together.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any new business, the journey hasn’t been completely smooth. Opening our ThirsTea location came with its share of challenges — from managing construction delays and staffing to finding the right balance between quality, consistency, and creativity. There were moments where things didn’t go as planned, but each setback taught us something valuable about patience, adaptability, and teamwork.

Running a store means learning every day — about people, operations, and what it truly takes to build something lasting. Looking back, the struggles were all part of the growth process, and they’ve made our team stronger and our shop even better.

As the owner of a ThirsTea franchise, I specialize in creating an experience that blends quality, creativity, and community. Our menu features handcrafted boba drinks, açai bowls, rolled ice cream, and a variety of snacks — all made to bring people together and offer something for everyone.

What sets us apart is the attention to detail and the care we put into every order. From the flavors we create to the way we connect with our customers, we focus on making ThirsTea a place people love to visit, not just for the drinks but for the atmosphere. I’m most proud of building a space where customers feel welcomed, our team feels valued, and our community feels connected.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The beverage and dessert industry is evolving quickly, especially as customers look for more than just good flavor they want an experience. Over the next decade, I see a major shift toward customizable, health-conscious options and more creative menu combinations that blend global influences with local tastes.

Technology will also play a big role from mobile ordering and loyalty apps to social media-driven branding. People love sharing what they enjoy, and the most successful businesses will be those that connect with customers both in-store and online. I believe the future of boba, and dessert cafés lies in that mix of innovation, authenticity, and community creating spaces that feel fresh, inclusive, and memorable.
