Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian & Evelin Martinez.
Hi Christian & Evelin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband, Christian, has always worked in sales and has a true gift for connecting with people. I, on the other hand, focused much of my time on raising our daughter, though I’ve always had a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit. Over the years, I’ve run small businesses — from photography to making hair bows, and even helping other small businesses with social media marketing. I’ve always loved creating, connecting, and helping others in any way I can.
One thing my husband and I have always shared is our heart for the community. He’s a visionary and incredibly driven, and I’m more of a social butterfly who loves building relationships and serving others.
A turning point for us came when Christian, who had been working in the roofing industry for several years, had a near-death experience. While inspecting a two-story roof, he misstepped and almost fell. Thankfully, he managed to catch himself on a gutter — but that moment shook us both deeply. It made him stop and think, “What would happen to my wife and daughter if something ever happened to me?”
Right after that experience, he made sure we both got life insurance policies. Having that protection brought me peace — knowing that no matter what happens, our family wouldn’t be left with a financial burden.
That experience completely changed our perspective. We realized how important it is for families to have the right protection in place. Not long after, we were introduced to the life and health insurance industry, and something just clicked. We saw not only the opportunity to build a business together but also a powerful way to educate and serve our community.
Combining our strengths — his drive and vision with my passion for people and community — we became a husband-and-wife team with a mission. The journey hasn’t been easy; we’ve faced many obstacles along the way. But our faith in God has been our foundation and continues to guide us through every step.
Today, we’re grateful for how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead. Our goal remains the same: to keep growing, learning, and making a lasting impact by helping families protect what matters most.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anytime you set out to build something from scratch, it’s far from easy. We’ve faced the fear that comes with pouring everything — our time, money, and energy — into building this business, not knowing if it would all work out. There have been many sacrifices along the way.
For me personally, one of the biggest challenges has been overcoming my own fears and doubts. I often found myself asking, Can I really do this? Am I built for this? Am I strong enough? There were moments when people in the industry looked down on us or underestimated us, which can be discouraging when you’re just starting out.
But what we discovered is that our passion for helping families in our community is so much stronger than any doubt or negativity. For every person who tried to bring us down, there were incredible people cheering us on and believing in us.
Building and growing a business truly feels like a rollercoaster — full of ups, downs, and growing pains — but every challenge has made us stronger, more resilient, and more grateful for how far we’ve come.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
We truly believe that having a mentor is key to growth — both personally and professionally. For us, mentorship has made a huge difference. We were blessed to find our mentors through our church. Not only are they incredible business owners, but they’re also amazing human beings who lead with faith and integrity.
Our advice for finding a mentor is to look for someone who aligns with your vision, values, and faith — someone who inspires you not just by what they’ve achieved, but by the way they live and serve others. A great mentor challenges you, encourages you, and reminds you of your “why” when things get tough.
When it comes to networking, we’ve learned that authentic relationships are far more valuable than numbers or titles. Be genuine, be kind, and look for ways to add value to others. The right connections will naturally follow when your heart and intentions are in the right place.
