Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricole Hayes.
Ricole, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Absolutely! My journey started with a deep love for travel, aviation, and helping others see the world from a new perspective. I’ve always been fascinated by the lifestyle of flight attendants—the confidence, professionalism, and freedom that come with traveling across the globe. After years of studying the industry, learning airline requirements, and connecting with others in aviation, I realized there was a gap—so many people dream of becoming a flight attendant but don’t know where to start or how to prepare.
That’s what inspired me to create The Sky Lounge Society, a travel education and mentorship community designed to help aspiring flight attendants prepare for their dream careers. Through coaching, resources, and insider knowledge, I teach members how to navigate airline applications, interview preparation, grooming standards, etiquette, and lifestyle readiness—all the things that help them stand out with confidence.
Before launching this platform, I spent years developing my skills in customer service, hospitality, and professional communication—all essential foundations for success in aviation. Today, I’m proud to say I’ve combined my passion for travel and mentorship into a growing brand that helps others take flight, both literally and personally.
My goal is to continue empowering women and men to elevate their mindset, master their presentation, and pursue careers that give them the freedom to travel the world while building a lifestyle they love.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road — but every challenge helped shape who I am today. When I first started pursuing a career connected to travel and aviation, I faced a lot of uncertainty and self-doubt. I didn’t have a mentor or a clear roadmap on how to enter the airline industry. I had to piece everything together through research, trial and error, and persistence.
One of the biggest challenges was overcoming perfectionism and fear of not being ready — something I see a lot in aspiring flight attendants. You feel like you have to have everything perfectly figured out before applying or interviewing, but in reality, confidence and preparation matter more than perfection. Learning that was a major mindset shift for me.
Another struggle was balancing life and work while building my brand. Creating The Sky Lounge Society meant wearing multiple hats—educator, designer, coach, and businesswoman—while staying focused on my mission to help others. There were times I questioned if I could really do it all, but staying grounded in purpose kept me going.
Financially, it wasn’t easy either. I invested a lot of time and resources into building educational materials, creating my digital eBook, and structuring a travel mentorship platform that truly helps people get results. But seeing students gain confidence, land interviews, and step into their dream roles makes every challenge worth it.
Today, I teach others that obstacles are part of the journey—especially when you’re chasing a lifestyle that gives you freedom and fulfillment. I remind my students that turbulence doesn’t mean the flight is over; it just means you’re still moving forward.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a flight attendant, travel educator, actress, and founder of The Sky Lounge Society, a growing community designed to help aspiring flight attendants prepare for, enter, and thrive in the aviation industry. My work focuses on empowering others through education, confidence building, and professional etiquette training so they can step into their dream travel careers with clarity and purpose.
Through my digital eBook, “Cleared for Takeoff: A Flight Attendant’s Guide to Confidence, Clarity & Career Growth,” and my upcoming travel mentorship platform, I provide a step-by-step roadmap for individuals who are passionate about becoming flight attendants. From interview prep and resume guidance to understanding airline culture, grooming standards, and travel lifestyle balance—I aim to equip each person with the tools they need to succeed both in and out of uniform.
What I’m most proud of is being able to merge my firsthand flight experience with mentorship. I remember what it felt like to want this career but not know where to start. Now, I get to be that guide for others—helping them not just get hired, but stay inspired.
What sets me apart is my focus on mindset and lifestyle development. I don’t just teach how to pass an interview—I teach how to carry yourself like a flight attendant before you ever step on a plane. My program emphasizes professionalism, emotional intelligence, and self-discipline, because those traits are what make you stand out in the sky.
The aviation world is changing, and I believe representation, readiness, and resilience matter more than ever. My goal is to continue helping others soar—not just in their careers, but in their personal growth and confidence too.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Yes—outside of aviation and travel mentorship, I’m also deeply passionate about acting, singing, and modeling. Creativity has always been a part of who I am. Whether I’m in front of a camera, performing on stage, or helping others bring out their confidence, I’ve learned that all of these worlds connect through expression, discipline, and storytelling.
Acting allows me to explore different characters and emotions, singing keeps me grounded in joy, and modeling lets me express elegance and professionalism—qualities that align perfectly with my work as a flight attendant and mentor. Each passion helps me connect with people on a deeper level and show others that you can embrace multiple dreams at once.
I truly believe you don’t have to fit into just one box. You can travel the world, inspire others, perform, and create—all while staying authentic to who you are. My journey represents that blend of art, ambition, and aviation, and I hope it encourages others to chase every dream that lights them up.
