Today we’d like to introduce you to Pastor Shannon Frazier.
Hi Pastor Shannon, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2006 Pastor Shannon Frazier started a bible study in his home. After years of volunteering and serving the community through outreach, the Lord directed Pastor Shannon to start an outreach ministry named Connect Ministries. Connect Ministries had a major impact in the community where many souls were led to Jesus Christ. In 2011, while serving as Minister of Music for a local church, Pastor Shannon began to pray and seek God about his call to Pastor. In October of 2012, Encouragers Church International was established. Encouragers Church International held Sunday services in Huffman, Texas and Wednesday Night Bible Study in Pearland, Texas. After 3 years of pastoring Encouragers Church International (ECI), Pastor Shannon merged his congregation with the Abiding Faith Church in Baytown located in Baytown, Texas and became the Lead Pastor of that ministry on January 1, 2016. On January 1st, 2024 Pastor Shannon released a word to the congregation declaring that 2024 would be The Year of Unlimited Favor and that Abiding Faith Church of Baytown would be rebranded to Encouragers Church International (ECI). As of today, Encouragers Church International is in full renovation and rebuild mode. Pastor Shannon believes in encouraging the discouraged and the lost, bringing them to Jesus Christ. His vision is to bring in community resource organizations and allow community leaders and businesses to secure ECI’s business offices to conduct kingdom business on a daily basis. Pastor Shannon believes that the “church building” should be open 7 days a week offering aid and assistance to the local community.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Ministry is never easy yet, it’s rewarding. Leading souls to Christ and Making a Difference One Life at a Time in this social climate is not an easy task. Daily struggles and sometimes just trying to encourage the people to trust and depend on the Lord no matter their circumstances while facing hard challenges of my own is an intense job. I encourage other no matter what I’m going through, depending on Christ to deliver us all. I believe we walk by Faith, not by Sight!
We’ve been impressed with Encouragers Church International, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
the Musician, Author, Teacher, Husband, and Father was born and raised in Greensboro, N.C. Founder and Lead Pastor of Encouragers Church International located in Baytown, Texas, Pastor Shannon believes in “Making a Difference One Life at a Time”.
At a young age, Pastor Shannon developed his passion for music that afforded him the opportunity to travel the world playing in Broadway musicals, international crusades and music video productions.
In 2023, Pastor Shannon authored a book titled “Winning the War in Your Mind”, subtitled “You Have What It Takes”. His wants ever reader to know that if you keep the faith and put God first above all things, YOU WILL WIN.
Pastor Shannon believes and lives by Faith! His mission is encouraging the discouraged and the lost bringing them to Jesus Christ. His passion for community service and men’s ministry led him to establish a Men’s Conference called MAN UP! Pastor Shannon believe that every Man, Son, Father, and Husband can be exactly who God called them to be.
Pastor Shannon is married to the beautiful Lady Shanel Frazier. The moment they met, was the moment he knew she was the one and 19 years later, she is still his girl!
Pastor Shannon is the proud father of Seth and Josiah. He instills the love and fear of God in his boys and teaches them that excuses are nails that build houses of failure.
As Pastor, I am most proud of my ability to lead my congregation and community with integrity and character. Being an example as a true Man of God, devoted husband, dedicated father, loyal friend and committed Pastor.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I plan to continue bringing Ministry to the Marketplace. Creating a safe space for the community to find refuge in the Kingdom of God. My plan is to build a Senior Living Housing Complex on our campus in Baytown, within the next 5 years.
