Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Longacre.
Hi Lisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are best friends and teachers who decided to try something crazy. We converted an old horse trailer into a beautiful mobile bar with the help of Dynamite and Whiskey Design and Styled by Melis..
When Dawn first told me the idea, I thought she had finally lost her last marble. But the more I thought about it, the less crazy it seemed. I had been bartending on the side for a country club, so I had the knowledge. We just needed the plan. From concept to fruition was 3 months.
We’ve been having a blast bringing cocktails and happiness to special events like rehearsal dinners and weddings, birthday and Christmas parties, business dinners and random Tuesday happy hours.
We hope to do so much more because… every party needs a bar.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The hardest part has been juggling full-time teaching with starting a business. Lisa is now retired from teaching and is able to focus on the bar more.
Marketing is challenging as well. We’ve been educators so long, we have had to take life’s crash course in business and marketing.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a unique bar because the look of our trailer does not cater to one specific event or gender. It’s not too girlie. It’s not too wedding-y. It’s sleek and sexy and can go to ANY party. We’ve worked corporate events who told us they chose us because of those qualities. We’ve had men tell us at the Bridal Extravaganza that we’re the bar they want at their wedding. Women in Roundtop during the antique show want us for their private dinners with friends. We feel seen by everyone.
Our professionalism sets us apart as well. We provide quality cocktails and service. Being teachers for so many years has taught us how to accommodate and adjust as needed.
Since we’ve never met a stranger, it’s our pleasure to make everyone feel welcome. Humor and love is baked into every conversation and cocktail.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
People may not know that we are go-getters. Separately and together, we don’t know how to fail. We’re college educated women who work hard. We’ve even started another business in real estate investing. We’ve purchased our first property and are ready to fly with that, too. Failure is NOT an option.
