Today we’d like to introduce you to Viridiana Mata.
Hi Viridiana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Honestly, my journey started with wanting to be a healthier version of myself and realizing how powerful movement can be and not just physically, but mentally too. I’ve always loved fitness, but it became something deeper when I saw how it could completely change the way people see themselves.
I got lucky when I first started working out and meet some pretty cool people that thought me a lot and help spark the love for fitness inside myself. I decided to get my certifications and really focused on studying my craft. Working for a gym than a studio, I continued to learn about training, nutrition, and how to really connect with people. Over time, I noticed a pattern that so many women, especially moms, felt like they didn’t belong in the fitness space or that it was “too late” to start. That’s what pushed me to create something different.
That’s how Just Move Fitness was born. It started right out of my garage with a mission to make fitness simple, personal, and encouraging. I wanted people to walk in and feel seen not judged. Growing a community that focuses on building strength, confidence, and consistency, both in and out of the gym.
For me, it’s not about being perfect, it’s about progress and reminding people that no matter where you are in life, the most important thing you can do is to just move!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all! It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There has been a lot of growing pains starting Just Move Fitness, it has literally been me doing everything. From training clients, managing social media, creating programs, handling finances, and still trying to make time for family. Finding that balance has been tough.
There have been moments of doubt, especially when I transitioned from working at a studio to building my own space. It’s scary leaving stability behind to start something from scratch, but it also taught me how resourceful and resilient I can be.
I’ve faced challenges like figuring out how to market myself, learning the tech side of running a business, and building a client base from the ground up. All while making sure the quality of training stays personal and consistent. But each struggle has come with a lesson that has helped me grow stronger, both as a trainer and as a person.
What’s kept me going is my “why” helping people realize they’re capable of more than they think. Every time a client hits a goal or says they finally feel confident again, it reminds me why the hard days were worth it and continue to be worth it.
We’ve been impressed with Just Move Fitness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Just Move Fitness is all about helping people feel strong, confident, and capable! No matter where they’re starting from. I offer personal training, small group sessions, glute-focused classes, and even programs for kids and teens. My approach is very personal I meet clients where they are, build a plan that fits their lifestyle, and teach them how to create lasting results through movement and balanced nutrition.
What I’m most known for is creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment. Whether someone’s brand new to fitness or returning after a long break, I want them to feel supported, not pressured. My clients often tell me they love how real and encouraging the atmosphere is.
What sets Just Move Fitness apart is the connection and integrity behind everything I do. I don’t believe in quick fixes or cookie-cutter plans. Every workout, every meal guide, every conversation is built around helping people make sustainable changes.
Brand-wise, I’m really proud of how far it’s come from training a few clients, into training not just busy moms, but athletes, kids, and people who never thought they could love fitness. The elephant logo and the name Just Move both represent strength, growth, and resilience, a reminder that even small steps forward can lead to big transformations.
What I want readers to know is that fitness doesn’t have to be intimidating. You don’t need to be “fit” to start you just need to move. Once you take that first step, everything else starts to fall into place.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is integrity and genuinely helping people become the best version of themselves inside and out. I truly believe in practicing what I preach. I’ll never ask a client to do something I wouldn’t do myself, and that’s something I take pride in.
It’s important to me that people feel seen, supported, and understood not just pushed through a workout. I care about who they are beyond the gym, because fitness is about more than just physical change. It’s about building confidence, discipline, and self-trust.
Acts of service are also a big part of who I am. Helping someone accomplish something they didn’t think they could do whether it’s lifting a weight they were afraid of, running their first mile, or finally feeling good in their skin that’s what drives me. Watching people grow stronger mentally and physically reminds me that what I do matters.
At the end of the day, it’s about leaving a positive impact. If someone walks away feeling stronger, more capable, and proud of themselves that’s success to me.
