Exploring Life & Business with Brittany Fraction of Diversity Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Fraction.

Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m originally from Mer Rouge, Louisiana. A small town that taught me faith, hard work, and the power of community. I’ve always had a heart for people and a passion for uplifting others, but my path to purpose has been anything but ordinary. At 27, I made a bold decision to join the U.S. Army. My parents wanted me to attend college first, but one day I woke up and said, “I’m doing it now, because I need to.” That decision changed the trajectory of my life.

The military taught me discipline, resilience, and leadership. Lessons that still shape who I am today. After retiring, I entered a new season of rediscovery, leaning on my faith to guide me. That’s when I realized how much I love many things. Fitness, modeling, singing, and serving my community. I’m a multi-passionate woman, and I no longer feel the need to choose just one lane. I believe God gave me multiple gifts for a reason. To inspire, to heal, and to connect with people in different ways.

Through Diversity Fitness, I help others build strength inside and out, empowering them to see what’s possible when they believe in themselves. Whether I’m coaching clients, mentoring students, serving my community, or stepping in front of a camera, my goal remains the same. To represent faith, confidence, and authenticity.

My journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been purposeful. From soldier to coach, from small-town girl to multi-passionate woman, I’m walking in everything God created me to be. One prayer, one person, and one purpose at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road has definitely not been smooth, and I’ve faced my share of struggles along the way. One of the biggest challenges has been being told I need to choose just one passion or path and that I’m “all over the place” because I love multiple things. Whether it’s fitness, modeling, singing, or serving my community, I’ve often been pushed to fit into someone else’s box. But I’ve learned that being multi-passionate is not a bad thing, it’s a gift, and God designed me to walk in all of it… with Him of course.

Another significant challenge came from navigating toxic leadership during my military career. Those experiences were hard, discouraging, and at times, made me question my own strength and worth. But even in those moments, I leaned on faith, resilience, and the lessons I learned from both my upbringing and my service. I refused to let others’ negativity define my journey.

Every obstacle has taught me the same truth: growth often comes through discomfort, and freedom comes when you refuse to let others’ limitations dictate your life. Today, I use those experiences to mentor, uplift, and empower others. Helping them recognize that their multi-faceted gifts are meant to be celebrated, not stifled. My struggles didn’t stop me; they shaped me.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Diversity Fitness, we celebrate diversity in every sense. Not just age, size, or background, but in passions, abilities, and goals. We offer something for everyone: virtual classes, senior chair aerobics with our “Forever Young Crew,” boot camps, step aerobics, youth programs, personal training, and dynamic group training.

Our mission is simple: help people move, grow, and thrive while embracing their unique selves. Whether you’re building strength, finding confidence, or just having fun, Diversity Fitness is a place where everyone is seen, supported, and empowered.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking is all about connection, and you never know what gem you might meet if you don’t put yourself out there. Don’t be afraid to talk to people, even those who might seem “out of reach.” One thing I’ve learned is not to let others tell you who not to connect with. People may have opinions about your path, your goals, or your network, but ultimately, you have to find out for yourself who can inspire, challenge, and guide you.

Be bold, be curious, and approach every connection with intention. Mentorship and opportunities often come from the most unexpected conversations and that’s where growth really happens.
