Community Highlights: Meet Stacy Gonzalez of The People’s Agent (under NB Elite Realty) Houston Business Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Gonzalez.

Hi Stacy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a Houston native, a daughter of Peruvian immigrants, a University of Houston graduate, and a proud single mom building a life rooted in purpose, independence, and legacy. My path hasn’t been linear — I’ve been a nonprofit founder, campaign manager, marketing consultant, marketing firm owner, and now a Realtor and business owner. Each chapter taught me resilience, strategy, and the power of self-belief.

Today, I lead The People’s Agent and Houston Business Solutions — two ventures that reflect both sides of who I am: the advocate and the entrepreneur. Through real estate, I help people build generational wealth. Through business consulting, I help others turn ideas into structured, sustainable success.

What drives me most is creating opportunities for people who were told “no” and showing them that ownership — whether of a home, a business, or their own story — is possible.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but that’s where most of my growth came from. Building a business from scratch, managing a team, and later transitioning into politics and real estate all came with their share of challenges. There were moments when I had to rebuild from the ground up — financially, emotionally, and professionally — especially as a single mother balancing entrepreneurship and motherhood.

There were times I had to navigate doubt, burnout, and the pressure of proving myself in male-dominated spaces. But each season taught me discipline, boundaries, and faith in my own vision. I learned that success isn’t about never falling — it’s about how you rise, adapt, and keep showing up with integrity.

Every obstacle became a blueprint for resilience — and that mindset has carried me through every chapter since.

We’ve been impressed with The People’s Agent (under NB Elite Realty) Houston Business Solutions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The People’s Agent is my real estate brand rooted in transparency, strategy, and community. I help individuals and investors buy, sell, or invest in Texas real estate — specializing in first-time home buyers, owner finance, commercial, luxury leasing, and luxury homes. What sets me apart is the educational and strategic approach I bring to every deal. My clients don’t just purchase property — they gain the tools, clarity, and confidence to build long-term wealth.

Houston Business Solutions complements that mission by offering marketing, consulting, and business development services for small businesses, start-ups, and nonprofits. We handle everything from acquiring a business loan, commercial loans, hard money, digital marketing, branding, and business formation (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp) to ITIN and divorce filings, notary services, and business brokering — helping clients buy or sell businesses with confidentiality and expert guidance.

Together, both brands bridge real estate, entrepreneurship, and empowerment — giving clients practical, accessible pathways toward ownership and financial independence.

Brand Philosophy

Both ventures are built on integrity, empowerment, and community. My work isn’t transactional — it’s relational. Whether helping someone purchase their first home, start a company, or sell a business, my focus is on education, transparency, and building lasting success.

At the core, The People’s Agent and Houston Business Solutions represent substance, strategy, and empowerment — because when people are informed and equipped, they can truly own their future.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My best advice for finding a mentor is to lead with curiosity, not convenience. Don’t just look for someone with status — look for someone whose values, consistency, and decision-making you genuinely respect. Mentorship doesn’t always have to be formal; sometimes it’s built through genuine connection, observation, and reciprocity.

For me, what’s worked well is showing up — at events and community spaces — and offering value first. I’ve built meaningful relationships by asking thoughtful questions, being dependable, and following up with gratitude instead of expectation. The right mentors naturally reveal themselves when you’re intentional about your growth and authentic in your approach.

Networking, to me, isn’t about collecting business cards — it’s about alignment. When your energy and work ethic speak for you, the right people tend to find you, too.
