Today we’d like to introduce you to Brennan Cross.
Hi Brennan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Brennan Cross, and I’m the founder of a new Pilates studio in Tomball, Texas. I was born and raised in this town, and its always been a special place to me. Tomball is where I grew up, built lasting connections and learned what community truly means. Being able to bring this dream to life here feels incredibly meaningful.
Movement and wellness have been a constant thread throughout my life. Over time, Pilates became more that just a way to move. It became a practice that grounded me, strengthened me, and helped me find balance in both body and mind. What started as something personal has grown into something I feel deeply called to share with others.
Opening a Pilates studio in my hometown feels like a full circle moment. My goal is to create a space where people feel strong, supported, and connected. I want it to be a welcoming environment that reflects the same warmth and sense of community that Tomball has always given me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any journey worth taking, it’s had its challenges. Starting a business, especially one so personal, takes courage, patience, and a lot of unseen effort. There were definitely moments of doubt, times where things felt overwhelming, and days where I had to remind myself why I started in the first place. Through it all, the support of my family and friends kept me grounded and moving forward.
One person I truly couldn’t have done this without is my mom, Lori Cross. She has been by my side every step of the way by encouraging me, helping with everything from the big decisions to the small details, and showing up in ways only a mother can. Her support and involvement have meant the world to me, and I’m so grateful. This studio is just as much hers as it is mine.
As you know, we’re big fans of Innersculpt Studio. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At the heart of my work is a genuine love for movement, wellness, and connection. Pilates is so much more than just exercise. It’s about building strength from the inside out, improving posture, preventing injury, and reconnecting with your body in a really intentional way.
In my studio, I aim to create an environment where people feel supported, no matter their fitness level or experience. Whether someone’s completely new to Pilates or has been practicing for years, I want them to walk into the space and feel seen, encouraged, and empowered.
This studio is a blend of my personal passion and my professional purpose. It’s not just about fitness. It’s about creating a space that helps people feel good, live well, and be part of something meaningful in the heart of Tomball.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I think luck has played a part, but it’s always been mixed in with a lot of hard work, faith, and persistence. There have definitely been moments where things lined up in a way that felt meant to be, like finding the studio location or connecting with people who believed in the vision. Those moments felt lucky, but they also came after a lot of groundwork and showing up consistently, even when things were uncertain.
There have been some tough moments too. Times when things didn’t go as planned or unexpected challenges came up. In the moment, they felt like setbacks, but looking back, those experiences taught me patience, flexibility, and resilience. What felt like bad luck ended up being part of what prepared me for the next step.
So yes, luck shows up sometimes, but it’s really what you do with it. How you respond, that makes the biggest difference.
