Today we’d like to introduce you to Puja Agarwal.
Hi Puja, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Mumbai, India, and my journey began when I was 13 years old when I moved to USA. After completing my formal education, I pursued a degree in physical therapy. However, I soon realized that my true calling lay in the world of entertainment.
My first foray into the industry was as a radio show host on HUM FM. I was barely 20 at the time. This experience opened doors for me to emcee live concerts featuring renowned Bollywood stars. It was an exhilarating time, being in the midst of music and enthusiastic crowds.
Within a span of 5 years I got married and gave birth to two beautiful daughters. It was at that time I decided to do something that focused on children in the world of entertainment.
Inspired with the idea , I created and hosted my own TV show, “Little Superstars,” on NTV. A platform I am truly grateful for. My show “Little Superstars” showcased the incredible talents of young children across the nation. The show became quite popular, and my unique hosting style resonated with audiences which went on for over 50 episodes!
As my reputation grew, I began emceeing a variety of events, from weddings to renowned corporate events. My ability to connect with people and create a lively atmosphere made me a sought-after host. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of hosting events for massive crowds, sometimes as large as 24,000 people. I’ve also shared the stage with some of Bollywood’s biggest names, including Hrithik Roshan, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Nora Fatehi, Atif Aslam, Badshah, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and many more renowned bollwood celebrities. My journey from a small town girl in Mumbai India to an established Bollywood celebrity emcee in USA has been nothing short of INCREDIBLE.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success comes with its own challenges.
Balancing being a good mom, wife, a full time physical therapist, and entertainer has been quite the journey. Some days are definitely tougher than others, and I often feel like I can only excel in one area at a time. However, I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my parents, in-laws, and husband. Their love and encouragement have made all the difference, allowing me to pursue my dreams and accomplish so much. I truly couldn’t do it without them.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
