Hi Karen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Karen Kaman, designated broker of The Chan-nels Realty.
My father is a real estate developer, a creative construction designer and an investor while my
mother is a cautious contract reviewer, document manager, logical thinker, and problem
resolver. My family can be defined as an entrepreneur when I spent my time in my childhood.
My family has a tradition and sense of hard-working in the heart and my father and mother are
the best team ever from my point of view. My parents founded, operated, managed,
developed, and expanded the family-own real estate developing company from contributing 0
employee to 50 employees. My parents always teach me that running a business is like enjoying
your life, your interest and passion to reaching what you like is far more important than the
profits you gained. In addition, ‘Hard-working oriented’, ‘Initiative’ or ‘Workaholic’ is never too
exaggerated to describe my family tradition. I always found my father and mother work
together like a well cooperative team till midnights when sometimes I woke up unexpectedly at
night. Moreover, the most important principle for running a business as well as moving forward
in your life is your honesty, your courage, your sense of justice, your built-in trust, and your
strong conviction. Last but not the least, my parents are always open-minded to learn new
cultures and technologies from all over the world. In 2005, my parents decided to launch real
estate investment to Hong Kong and explored their career. Then my family has immigrated to
Hong Kong and developed our new adventures of life. In 2009, my parents made further
decision to invest a shopping center in Pennsylvania of America to expand their career abroad.
Then my family has immigrated to United States and enjoyed our further development of new
life. That is why I am here in the United States now! How excited!
My parents’ gene, work industries, behaviors, habits, principles, etc. has defined and formed
my main characteristics of the mixtures of initiative, creative, logical thinking, cautious and
persistent.
These personalities not only prove my life to be vivid and vigorous, but also open the doors for
my career.
Being affected by my father’s real estate developer background, I worked on my continued education in real estate law and regulation since 2015, obtained my real estate broker license and firmed The Chan-nels Realty. I have been in the real estate industry for servicing clients on both commercial and residential sale transaction and lease transactions for more than 10 years to thrive my brokerage experience. I have founded my real estate broker business entity, which is currently sponsoring and supervising other real estate sales agents under my company infrastructures, aiming to directing all my agents to a
right path of meeting compliances of right rules and regulations when our agents help their clients complete their real estate transactions – for example, purchasing or selling or lease clients’ dream homes or investing clients ‘shopping center or commercial lots, etc.
