Hi Jakeishia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey y’all, I’m Jakeishia Bradford — a preschool teacher, mom, and the creator behind Twenty- Eight, my handmade polymer clay earring brand. Teaching has always been my heart, but creating earrings became my outlet.
I started Twenty- Eight in 2022 with just a few blocks of clay and a big dream. What began as a hobby turned into a small business that lets me connect with people all over. I love making pieces that make women feel seen and beautiful, no matter where they are in life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. Imposter syndrome, anxiety, depression. Being a single mom. The list goes on, but I trusted God and still do!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I design bold, lightweight statement earrings. Each pair is hand-sculpted with love, inspired by color, texture, and real-life moods. My goal is to curve what I do with earrings into fashion — not just accessories, but full looks and creative expression.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
It’s my personality. If I can hold a conversation with someone. I got them! I love people and I love to make the next person happy.
