Today we’d like to introduce you to Allyse Robinson.
Hi Allyse , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was young I was a sensitive child with a strong pull to help others; so much so that I remember my mom telling me, “You can’t save the world, Allyse.” Well, if that didn’t light a fire under me because I was thinking why the hell not?! I remember always knowing I wanted to have some sort of ministry that would serve less fortunate children and individuals all over the world so at 15 years old when I was writing my goals and business plan (yes, a real business plan – shout out to the author of A Girl’s Guide to Starting your own Business by Caitlin Friedman and Kimberly Yorio) and inspired by a quote by St. Francis of Assisi that says, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the flame of a single candle”, the name H.O.P.E. Ministries that came to me which stands for helping others persevere everywhere. Who knew it wouldn’t be until almost 25 years later that hope, as it always has in my life, would show up again and this time through the birth of the The H.O.P.E. Wellness Collective.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I hear many entrepreneurs discuss how difficult it can be to start a business and surely that experience is valid but I am so grateful to God for a different experience. Starting The H.O.P.E. Wellness Collective has been such a great blessing and experience because it is literally my soul’s work. It is because of the struggles in life that shaped my character and guided my path that I am able to rest in the unfolding of it all and trust the direction of this work and that comes with a different kind of peace.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am the founder and CEO of The H.O.P.E. Wellness Collective and The H.O.P.E Wellness Collective Foundation (a charitable initiative to help families and individuals facing food insecurity, homelessness and unstable housing, inability to pay for basic healthcare and struggles to meet essential resources for basic wellbeing), I am also a somatic movement instructor with foundations in yoga, a retreat host, health coach, author, Thorne supplement affiliate, host of The H.O.P.E. Architect podcast and most importantly, a mother of five. I work with individuals to restore hope through transforming health, reviving energy and awakening joy through mental, physical and spiritual healing using The H.O.P.E. Method, my tailored whole body approach that uses your DNA and epigenetics combined with more traditional modalities like Ayurveda, herbal medicine while also encompassing spirituality and neuroscience. A portion of every purchase, whether it is from the H.O.P.E. Essentials Collection that offers non toxic candles, body oils and other products, e-books, courses, events or coaching sessions, is donated to the The H.O.P.E. Wellness Collective Foundation to support those who need it most. My goal for the foundation is to make monthly donations in the community long term. I am most proud of crossing a threshold in my healing journey to simply be able to live with joy. There was a time when I believed all hope was lost. Literally speaking. I can now help others find that hope can truly be restored. What sets me apart is my abstract way of thinking, unique and hyper-individualized approach, my level of empathy and understanding as well as my openness.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I believe success is defined by effort. It’s not a matter of winning because not everything can go in one’s favor, but instead, the more appropriate measure of success is in the question that asks how much of yourself did you give to the people and things that you value? If the answer is that you gave it everything you had then you have met success.
