We’re looking forward to introducing you to Andrea Rojas Petit. Check out our conversation below.
Andrea , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Not long ago, when I remembered that a year ago I asked God to let me be where I am now, I felt proud of everything I’ve achieved and all the effort I’ve put into it.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Andrea Rojas. I am an insurance agent and an immigration forms preparer. I run a family business together with my father, and together we help the community with health, life, and dental insurance, as well as tax preparation and immigration forms.
A little over a year ago, I owned a bakery and pastry shop. I loved what I did, but sometimes God has other plans. I changed paths and partnered with my dad in what I do now, and I truly love being able to help people. I believe what makes us stand out is the closeness we have with our clients — we offer personalized attention to each one of them and provide the best service possible because we truly feel like family.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Believe in yourself, never give up. Things sometimes go wrong, but that doesn’t mean you should give up on what you want. Everything is achieved through effort and dedication — nothing worthwhile comes without hard work.
That’s what my parents always told me whenever I wanted to give up. Now, it’s what I would say to my younger self — and it’s what I always tell my daughters.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I’ve always been a sincere person with no masks. If people are going to love me or hate me, let it be for the same reason, for showing who I truly am.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m doing what I was born to do. I believe we all come into this world with a mission, some people just never discover it. But a long time ago, I realized that I love helping others. I enjoy seeing people achieve their goals and dreams, and if I can contribute to that in any way, it makes me truly happy to be part of someone else’s story.
