Cyntreia Hayes’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

Cyntreia Hayes shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Cyntreia, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
One of the most misunderstood things about travel agents is that people think we just “book trips,” when in reality, we design experiences. Anyone can hop online and make a reservation, but travel agents take the time to curate the right destination, resort, and vibe to match each traveler’s personality, budget, and goals.

Beyond that, we serve as your advocate. When things go wrong, from flight delays to last-minute changes, we’re the ones on the phone making sure everything gets fixed so you don’t have to stress.

What truly sets travel agents apart is our human insight and firsthand experience with destinations and resorts.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
At Traveling Temptationz, we don’t just book trips — we create vibes, memories, and stories you’ll be telling for years! Think of us as your personal passport to adventure, here to make travel easy, stress-free, and yes… affordable too.

From reservations to excursions, birthdays to “just because” getaways — we’ve got you covered. All YOU need to do is pack (seriously, that’s it!) and get ready to live your best life.

Because let’s be real… we’re done Netflix & chilling. Around here, it’s all about traveling & living!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is often a combination of misunderstanding, lack of communication, and unmet expectations. When people stop listening, assume the worst, or fail to express their needs honestly, small cracks start to form. Over time, those cracks widen with hurt feelings, pride, or distance. Trust weakens, and people begin to feel unseen, unheard, or unvalued — that’s when connection starts to fade.

But what restores those bonds is empathy, effort, and humility. When someone takes the time to listen — really listen — and acknowledge another person’s feelings, it opens the door to healing. Honest communication, forgiveness, and shared experiences can rebuild what was lost.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was definitely a time when I almost gave up. It felt like everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Every plan I made seemed to fall apart, every effort I put in felt like it wasn’t enough, and I started to question whether all the hard work was even worth it. It wasn’t just one thing — it was the constant buildup of disappointments, delays, and unexpected setbacks that left me drained and discouraged.

But in that low moment, I realized that giving up wouldn’t change the situation — it would only guarantee that I’d never see what could’ve been if I’d kept going. So instead of walking away, I paused, regrouped, and reminded myself why I started in the first place. Things didn’t magically get easy, but slowly, one small win at a time, I began to rebuild my confidence and momentum. Looking back now, I’m grateful I didn’t give up — that moment taught me how strong I really am.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is absolutely the real me. What you see is what you get. I don’t believe in putting on a show or pretending to be someone I’m not just to fit an image. I try to show up as my authentic self — the same energy, the same personality, the same values — whether it’s in person, online, or behind the scenes. Of course, I might share different sides of myself in different settings, but at the core, it’s still me.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m traveling. There’s just something about being in a new place — the sights, the sounds, the energy — that brings out the best version of me. When I’m exploring somewhere new, I feel free, alive, and completely in the moment. Traveling reminds me who I am outside of routine and responsibility. It’s when my mind clears. Simply put, traveling is where I feel most like me.
