We recently had the chance to connect with Mckenna Sharmaine and have shared our conversation below.
Mckenna, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
There’s many things that everyone build in silence & solitude . The things that im most proud of building that nobody sees are my faith & self improvement but even those things are evident in my work & character.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m McKenna Sharmaine . A well renowned nail technician and entrepreneur. My brand is Roulette Nails . I’m willing to take the right gamble or risk to instill my dreams and goals successfully into the universe. What makes my brand interesting is that it’s authentic, organic , creative & polished. Anyone & everyone is welcomed to let their creative thoughts run free while using their nails as the canvas.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Me over extending myself in rooms I’m not valued in ; has served its purpose with me. It has to be released because being valued and my brand being valued / respected is at high demand for me right now.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience , humbleness, gratitude, & a lot of self reflection that needed to take place in order to become successful. Suffering never ends it has its cycles & it has its breaks but as humans we’re enduring & overcoming something every day. Great success is powered by a great sacrifice & surrendering to God.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is most definitely the real me . The good days , the bad days . My highs, my lows . I embrace everything about me & to know me is to love me . The real me .
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I absolutely feel like I’m doing what I was born to do . Every lesson I’ve learned , everything I had to walk away has molded & still molding me. what I’m doing is according to God’s will for me & my life.
