Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Cardozo.
Hi Daniel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Honestly, my whole story is just about taking risks and never being afraid to fail. I didn’t grow up with connections or a silver spoon; I just wanted to make something happen. I started out trying to build a business with my best friends Jasim and Manshir. We worked harder than ever before, lost money, failed, but learned so much. Failure taught me more than any win ever did.
When I jumped into real estate, I went all in. Late nights, figuring things out on my own, doing whatever it took to actually help people, and not just close deals. (Although obviously, that’s a big part.) People think Realtors have it easy, but it’s commission-only, you eat what you kill, and if a deal falls apart, you get nothing. It’s constant work, but I actually love it.
Outside of real estate, I’m a huge car guy. I grew up obsessed with cars, always going to meets and working on my cars. That turned into MotoRevs, my YouTube channel. It’s honestly just an excuse for me to share what I love and connect with other people who get it, while also making a living from it.
Then there’s Main Collect, formerly BCF Meets. That’s the passion project – I wanted car meets to actually matter, so we started doing sort of charity events under our non-profit, the Bright Choice Foundation. We’ve raised money for earthquake relief, built water wells in Africa, and brought a ton of people together for a good cause. That’s what makes it worth it.
None of this has been easy, though. Stuff goes wrong all the time, deals fall through, events get shut down, videos flop. But I’m all about putting myself out there, pushing through, and figuring it out. I live by the idea that if you want something you’ve never had, you gotta do something you’ve never done. So, that’s what I do. I work hard, I take risks, and I try to make a real impact wherever I can.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Np – it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had a ton of setbacks along the way; failed business attempts, real estate deals falling through at the last second, car meets getting cancelled or shut down, and just a lot of days where things didn’t go as planned. There were moments where I put in weeks or even months of work and saw nothing come out of it, and honestly, it’s frustrating. But every single time, those challenges forced me to learn, level up, and find a way to keep moving forward. Looking back, all those struggles actually made me a bit tougher and more disciplined. I had to constantly adapt and reinvent myself just to keep up, and even though it wasn’t easy, it’s the hard times that make all the wins actually mean something. If everything was smooth, I probably wouldn’t appreciate how far I’ve come.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Cardozo-Khan Group?
The Cardozo-Khan Group is a renowned and respected name in the Houston area – we specialize, at this moment, in residential homes in Fort Bend County, where both I, and my business partner, Jasim Khan, have been born and raised. We bring an emphasis on client-first mindsets – in a sense, our entire business model revolves around giving our client the absolute best experience possible; from lending, showings, closings, etc., we bring the client around on a golden carriage, which we pull. And I have to say, that having such a business model is extremely rewarding. The smiles, compliments, and referrals that our clients have and give are extraordinary. That’s definitely what we’re most proud of – that, and how we like to close deals. Quick. We get in and out, and we complete the best job possible, every single time, making sure every client is nothing but ecstatic about the service we provided. I can’t think of anyone more fulfilling than seeing their smiles when they get handed the keys!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I absolutely feel that my determination and grit are, well, necessary. I have to have grit – I have to be resilient, because in this world, especially in this career, there is absolutely no time at all to get hit and stay down – you will get knocked down. As my main inspiration for who I am inside and outside of the business world, Andrew Tate, always says, “My unmatched perspicacity coupled with my sheer indefatigability makes me a feared opponent in any realm of human endeavor.” These are wise words to live by; no matter how many time a deal may fall through, a client gives up, etc., I still have to keep on going. If I stop, I lose all momentum, and I lose myself. I have to be resilient – having that characteristic is what has taken me to the level that I am at now, and will only be soaring from in the future.
