Today we’d like to introduce you to Imani.
Hi Imani, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I got my start in this industry right here in Houston. I was nine years old, signed to Paige Parks Modeling Agency, convinced I was going to grow up and be a Victoria’s Secret model. After high school, I finally had some control over my modeling career, but God clearly had me on a different trajectory because the more time I spent backstage, the more I realized I loved producing the art just as much as being in front of the camera. By 19, I was doing models’ makeup, helping designers, running around backstage, styling, assisting photographers — basically doing fifteen jobs at shows I was originally booked just to model for. My work ethic was crazy even back then, and by 24 I turned all that makeup, creative direction, and fashion experience into my own business.
Today, my work includes creative and editorial makeup artistry, creative direction for photoshoots and events, content creation, and and the founder of a growing ecosystem for neurodivergent creatives. I’m currently building digital tools like my Chaos to Canvas bundle and the BleuPrint Muse Machine to help neurodivergent creatives bring their artwork to life. I’m also the founder of Imani Hasiina Stylings Inc., The BleuPrint CSA, and The Chaos Club. This industry is not easy to navigate as a neurodivergent person but every detour pushed me into who God was growing me to be. Now I’m just focused on building a legacy from the kind of art, systems, and experiences that I needed and wanted growing up!
Today, I’m a creative and editorial makeup artist, a creative director for photoshoots and artsy fashion-music events, and the founder of The BleuPrint CSA. I also build digital tools like my Chaos to Canvas bundle and the BleuPrint Muse Machine to help neurodivergent creatives bring their ideas to life. Every detour pushed me into who God was growing me to be, and now I’m just focused on building the kind of art, systems, and experiences that I needed and wanted growing up!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road. Being neurodivergent in this industry has been one of my biggest challenges because my people-pleasing doesn’t show up as being overly nice — it shows up as overperforming. Saying yes to everything. Trying to be useful. Trying to prove my value. Half the time I was faking the funk, acting like I had systems and structure when really I was just doing whatever needed to get done in the moment. I didn’t have guidance. I didn’t have anyone teaching me how to run a business or how to organize my talent. I had my gifts, my passion, and too much energy, and I was trying to figure everything out at the same time while staying afloat.
Everything I know, I learned on the ground. When I first started, I didn’t have a mentor. I didn’t have anybody helping me or showing me how to build a brand, market my work, structure my services, or run the back end of a business. I had to learn business while trying to be the business. It was overwhelming — executive dysfunction, burnout, no structure, no roadmap, no real direction. But I made it through all of that. Every learning curve, every burnout, every season of confusion sharpened me. And those struggles made me the intentional, structured, purpose-driven woman and business owner I am today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Imani Hasiina Stylings Inc?
Imani Hasiina Stylings Inc is the umbrella for everything I create. I do makeup and creative direction for photoshoots, music videos, and events. I curate art, fashion, and music-based experiences and activations, and I create digital products like my Chaos to Canvas Bundle and the BleuPrint Muse Machine to help creatives get unstuck and actually execute. I’m also building The Chaos Club, a community for neurodivergent artists and multi-hyphenates who need a home base to share work, share opportunities, and grow together.
What sets me apart is that I’m not just creative — I’m uniquely wired, and I’ve learned how to turn that into a superpower. I’m an artist and a businesswoman at the exact same time, and I express my artistry through everything I touch: the makeup looks I create, the experiences I design, the events I curate, and the tools I build for other creatives. I wear several hats across art, beauty, fashion, and music — and instead of scattering me, it sharpened my eye. I know how to take an idea, a vibe, a feeling, or a mood and actually bring it to life, even with limited resources. And at the core of it all, my work is purpose-led. I’m guided by God, not trends, and I’ve built a brand that gives neurodivergent creatives a place to belong. I’m not trying to fit into anyone else’s blueprint — I’m building my own, and inviting others to do the same.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Honestly, the only thing I’ll add is this: I’m in a season of rebuilding and obedience, and God has me moving with a different kind of clarity right now. If you’re a creative — especially a neurodivergent one — I want you to know there’s room for you, your ideas, and your art. You’re not “too much,” you’re just untapped.
I’m building a legacy for people like me, and if you’ve been looking for community, direction, or a place to create freely, tap in with me. We’re just getting started.
And if you’re ready to be part of this movement for real: come join The Chaos Club, grab my Chaos to Canvas bundle, or tap into my BleuPrint Muse Machine so you can actually execute the ideas God keeps giving you. And follow me @imani_hasiina so you don’t miss the art, the laughs, or the glow-ups He’s cooking through me.
