Meet Dr. Ee’a Jones of Peaceful Living Counseling and Consulting Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Ee’a Jones.

Dr. Ee’a, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always had an interest in helping others and have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. I majored in Psychology in undergraduate school then started working at a residential treatment center upon graduation. Then I moved into work at a public mental health agency. Along the way, I obtained my MA in Counseling. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2002 and an LPC supervisor in 2009.

I also obtained a doctorate in Organizational Psychology. I advanced up the career ladder to work at the supervisory level. Over the years, I have worked with children, adolescents, families, and couples in individual, family, and group counseling. Being in a supervisory position does not allow for as much direct care with clients so I started Peaceful Living Counseling and Consulting Services providing counseling services part-time.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a difficult road along the way. I have worked hard, and I’ve been rewarded in the way of career advancement.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Peaceful Living Counseling and Consulting Services story. Tell us more about the business.
At Peaceful Living Counseling and Consulting Services, I counsel with children, adolescents, families, and couples to help them find their path to peaceful living. I am genuine and invested in helping my clients become his or her best self. I am continuously in search of new modalities to help them make progress. I believe this is reflected in the services I deliver to them.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I prefer to call it blessings instead of luck. I have been truly blessed by Jesus Christ.
