We’re looking forward to introducing you to Miracle Bey. Check out our conversation below.
Miracle, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Absolutely — I would hire me without hesitation. I’m the kind of person who shows up with intention, consistency, and a standard of excellence that doesn’t waver. I don’t just complete tasks; I elevate experiences. Whether I’m in the kitchen crafting a luxury dining moment or behind the scenes building systems and strategy, I operate with a blend of creativity, discipline, and genuine care for the people I serve.
I would hire me because I’m solution-driven, resourceful, and committed to growth. I don’t make excuses — I make things happen. I’m the type of leader who holds myself accountable, learns quickly, adapts quickly, and takes pride in delivering work that feels thoughtful, polished, and unforgettable. If I’m on your team, you know the job is getting done at a high level — and that’s exactly why I trust myself to lead, build, and consistently exceed expectations.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Chef Miracle Bey, and I am the founder and creative force behind Luxurious Floating Miracles, a Houston-based luxury catering and private chef brand known for transforming ordinary moments into unforgettable experiences. I specialize in curated dining — from romantic dinners for two to elevated brunches, Luxe Boxes, floating dining experiences, and full-scale catered events — all designed with intentional flavor pairings, elegant presentation, and a signature touch of luxury.
What makes my brand unique is the fusion of culinary artistry, experiential design, and hospitality. I don’t just cook; I create an atmosphere. Every detail — the décor, the flavors, the styling, the service — is crafted to feel personal, beautiful, and memorable. My clients come to me for elevated food, but they return because of how the experience made them feel.
My journey is equal parts passion and perseverance. I’ve built my business while working full-time, learning to balance creativity, structure, and high standards on both ends. Today, Luxurious Floating Miracles continues to grow — expanding into new services, luxe dining concepts, curated brunch specials, seasonal offerings, and even education for other chefs and entrepreneurs looking to elevate their craft.
At its core, my brand exists to prove that luxury isn’t about price — it’s about intention, presentation, and purpose. And I’m proud to continue creating experiences that remind people to slow down, celebrate, and enjoy something beautiful.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My aunt saw me clearly long before I fully understood who I was becoming. When I was graduating high school and quietly exploring culinary school, she was the one who believed in both me and the path she knew would bring out my best. She recommended Nicholls State University — a place I remembered as boring and “in the middle of nowhere” when I was younger — but she saw something in that school and in my future that I couldn’t yet see for myself.
I’m grateful I listened. Nicholls gave me more than an education; it gave me foundation, discipline, and clarity. The lessons I learned there shaped not only the chef I am today, but the business owner I’ve become. The experience was transformational — from the hands-on training to the community I built. Some of the friends I made there are still part of my life and my professional world today.
Looking back, my aunt didn’t just suggest a school; she guided me toward a future I hadn’t yet imagined for myself. Her belief in me opened a door that changed everything.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Moving to Houston was exciting — stepping into a big city, endless opportunities, and the space to grow into the person and business owner I envisioned. But what most people don’t see is the quiet sacrifice behind that decision.
What I truly miss is the ease of being physically present with my friends and family. Back home, I never had to think twice about showing up — the birthdays, dinners, and everyday moments that keep you connected. Now, even though I do my best to take time off work and drive in when I can, it’s not always possible. Sometimes I can only stay a day or two, and there are moments I have to miss entirely.
But despite missing those things, I would never move back. Houston has given me room to expand, to dream bigger, and to build the life and brand I always knew I was capable of. It’s home now — even if a part of my heart is still tied to the people I love in another city.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes — the public version of me is absolutely the real me, just presented with intention. What people see online or through my brand is truly who I am: a chef who loves creating beautiful experiences, a business owner who believes in excellence, and a woman who works hard for everything she has.
But like anyone, there are layers the public doesn’t always see. They see the curated moments — the luxury tablescapes, the plated dinners, the wins, the growth. What they don’t always see is the discipline behind it, the late nights, the early mornings, the planning, the sacrifices, and the personal challenges I navigate while still showing up at a high level.
I’m the same person on and off camera — driven, creative, intentional, and determined. The difference is that the public gets the polished version, while the private version also holds the quiet work, the boundaries, and the parts of me I protect for my own peace. Both are real; one is just more visible.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am absolutely doing what I was born to do. Owning my own business, creating experiences with intention, and building something that carries my name and my vision — that has always been in me. No one had to tell me to pursue this path. The passion, the creativity, the need to lead, and the desire to create something that feels bigger than myself… that’s always been there.
Every step of my journey — from culinary school to moving to Houston, to juggling a full-time job while building my brand — has confirmed that I’m walking in my purpose. This isn’t something I chose because it was expected of me. It’s something I chose because it’s who I am at my core. I was born to create, to serve, to elevate moments, and to build a business that reflects my standard, my heart, and my legacy.
