Hi Norrie , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband and i have been entrepreneurs now for several years now. We run our financial services business and thats our thing together. However, about 2 years ago, i felt the urge to venture out and build something of my own as well. The vision from there started to blossom. Giving back and helping women has always been my thing. Im really a true Girls Girl, i inspire to be a people / women connector. Connecting other women to resources, services and offer a platform that allows them to speak their voice, share their story and become the best version of themselves possible. Truly become HER in the best form. push themselves beyond limits they never thought possible. Providing opportunities and events that allow for HER to thrive, spread her wings and unless her greatest potential while having the community, sisterhood and support to back her up. God fuels my steps in everything i do and i truly felt led to give back more to women. Not that i dont offer assistance to men but my heart is with women.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, Business and entrepreneurship is not smooth. It’s literally a journey, when youre on the brink of greatness, obstacles will always arise. Finding support or gaining the clientele and trying to build the community of women who get it. It takes time and i’m here for the long haul. The vision, the funding and the support will continue to come/grow as long as im consistent. Remembering its progress never perfection.

EmpowerHER Essence is a Non Profit organization that is catered to everything Women. I’ve curated a space that gives back to women/women entrepreneurs/Business owners. I specialize in catering to women through Networking events, women retreats, collaborations, business formation assistance, coaching/mentoring a blog space for women to share their stories and spotlighting business women and their businesses. Curating that one stop shop for all women to find healing, empowerment, growth and resources.
Im most proud of the vision that i hold to help and give back. Being able to connect various women to resources or collaborations they didn’t once have. My heart is was sets me apart from others and keeping God at the center of everything i do. Truly walking in a God driven business not just purpose driven. There are many others who are in the same field as myself but i understand we are all different and we all hold a different vision and purpose. So, whats for me will always be for me and what’s for others will be for them.
What matters most to you?
What matters most is making a true impact and changing someones life. That man, thank God for Norrie. If it weren’t for her conference or her seminar or her blog space partnered with her passion for helping, i would have never found the resources i needed or found true healing from past trauma. Being that reason/link and source that changed someones life for the better, that the best form of recognition.
