Hi Tolulope, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a Nigerian American attorney. I have been a practicing attorney in the field of immigration and family law for over 14 years. Transitioned to my solo firm in 2022, after leaving a joint partnership of 10 years. I have always wanted to be an attorney but not quite sure which field. After seeing my mom have to deal with immigration issues and seeing that process first hand, I knew I wanted to join that field. Family law shadows immigration in that it is family focused.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. I have had to overcome health issues in the midst of a swift career change.
