Conversations with Michael Agidah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Agidah.

Hi Michael, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, I was surrounded by a vibrant culture and a rich tapestry of stories, but I also faced the challenges that come with growing up in a ghetto environment. My early life was marked by both struggle and resilience. I remember the days when resources were scarce, and opportunities felt out of reach. However, it was in those very challenges that I found my voice as an artist.

Art became my refuge and my means of expression. I started singing as a child, using whatever materials I could find. My surroundings inspired me, the colors, the sounds, and the stories of my community. I began to share my work with friends and family, and their encouragement fueled my passion. I realized that art could be a powerful tool for storytelling and a way to connect with others.

As I grew older, I became more determined to pursue my dreams. I faced many obstacles along the way, from financial constraints to limited access to resources. But I refused to let those barriers define me. I sought out mentorship, collaborated with other local artists, and used social media to showcase my work to a broader audience. The digital age opened doors I never thought possible, allowing me to connect with people beyond my immediate environment.

Today, I’m proud to say that I’ve carved out a space for myself in the Music world, not just in Nigeria but internationally. My Music reflects the beauty and complexity of my experiences, and I strive to uplift my community through my songs. I’ve got 4 singles out now on all platforms and an album “E7izzyWRLD” coming soon next year. “MBlinkky” on all platforms…
I believe that every piece I create carries a piece of my story, and I hope to inspire others who come from similar backgrounds to pursue their passions fearlessly.

I’m grateful for the journey and the lessons learned along the way. It’s a testament to the power of resilience, creativity, and the belief that no matter where you come from, you can make waves and create change.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has been anything but smooth. Coming from the ghetto in Nigeria, I faced countless challenges that shaped me into the artist I am today. Limited resources were a constant hurdle, access to quality instruments, recording facilities, and even basic support for my music dreams were hard to come by.

There were days when I doubted myself, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of my circumstances. But those struggles fueled my passion and creativity. I learned to find beauty in the struggle, using my experiences to inspire my music. Each setback became a stepping stone, teaching me resilience and the importance of community.

I’ve been blessed to connect with people who believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Those connections, along with my determination, helped me rise above the challenges. So while the road has been tough, it has also been incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn’t trade my journey for anything. It’s a testament to the power of hope, hard work, and the belief that dreams can come true, no matter where you start.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
