Hi Fonda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I chose to start our family owned business as a heartfelt tribute to our late Mother who passed away from Gastric Cancer in 2021. Her unwavering dedication to helping others inspired me deeply and I wanted to honor her legacy by bringing her dream to life. Our business is more than just a professional pursuit; it’s a personal commitment to uphold the values our mother instilled in us. By dedicating our work to her memory, we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.

As the founder of our home care company, my partner and I bring a unique blend of healthcare expertise and business acumen to our operations. Our background encompasses both clinical experience and strategic business management, allowing us to understand the intricacies of patient care while effectively overseeing the company’s growth and sustainability.
This dual perspective ensures that our services are not only compassionate and client-centered but also efficient and responsive to the evolving needs of our community. By integrating medical knowledge with sound business practices, we strive to provide exceptional care that honors our commitment to excellence and our clients’ well-being.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Starting a home health business as a first-time business owner came with a steep learning curve. Some of the early challenges included navigating licensing and regulatory requirements, securing reliable caregivers in a competitive labor market, managing cash flow, and learning how to balance clinical quality with operational and financial realities.
There were also moments of uncertainty, making decisions without a roadmap, building credibility with referral partners, and adapting quickly when processes didn’t work as expected. However, those hurdles became growth opportunities. We leaned into learning, sought guidance from industry experts, built strong systems, and stayed focused on the mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care.
Over time, those challenges strengthened my leadership, resilience, and business acumen. What started as obstacles ultimately helped us build a more sustainable operation, a stronger team, and a clearer vision for long-term success.

At Compassionate care at Home, our mission is to provide compassionate and reliable care to individuals in need, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being within the comfort of their own homes. We are a privately owned company located in the Houston Community, and we are passionate about serving our community and veterans. We help our clients maintain their independence with personalized and proactive care in a comfortable and familiar setting. We offer flexible and budget friendly rates and experienced caregivers to ensure peace and respite.

We specialize in senior and aging care, and we are proud to stand beside our veterans. Our partnership with American Veterans Care Connection, unites our shared commitment to honor and serve the heroes of our nation. Through this collaboration, we are expanding access to compassionate, high-quality home care services tailored specifically for veterans and their families.

What sets us apart is our commitment to building strong relationships with our clients. We are personally invested in our clients as they have direct access to us as the owners of the agency. Since we’re not a franchise, we can offer personalized, hands-on care. I’m proud of my team and the service we provide.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is playing sports with friends in the neighborhood from morning until sunset. It wasn’t just about the games themselves, but the sense of freedom, teamwork, and competition. Learning how to win, lose, and support one another. Those moments shaped my love for sports, discipline, and community, and they still influence how I approach teamwork and leadership today.
