Today we’d like to introduce you to Projectbaby JV.
Hi Projectbaby, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I go by the name of Projectbabyjv, ‘The Chosen One’ aka the only one. I’m a recording artist, creator, and innovator.
Music has played a vital role throughout my entire life, but I started making my own music the year of 2020. So going on approximately 6 years now.
I’ve performed on some of the highest stages in Texas such as ‘Antones Nightclub’, ‘The House Of Blues’ and many many more.
And I’ve dropped 5 musical projects ALL INDEPENDENTLY along with my latest release titled “Heartbreaks N Heartaches”.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been smooth? Absolutely not, Far from it. But I wouldn’t want it any other way. From my very first song to now, Ive grown not only as an artist but as human being as a whole.
And I believe the bumps and bruises that has come along the way has not only shaped me into the artist that I am, but has also shaped me become the MAN that I am today.
Some of the struggles that I faced throughout the early stages a lot of the times dealt with either a lack of patience or experience. As a creative/artist you experience a lot of ideas and if you aren’t in the position mentally or financially to make them happen, you become stressed/anxious or even at times complacent.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
For starters, I make music. Good music, and music I believe that sets me apart from the rest of the pack because there are true feelings involved. I believe I have the ability to not only tell my story but create a visual image or paint a picture with my words for you to hear.
I’m known for songs like “Kyrie Irving”, “Drank Flow”, “Let The Beat Ride Freestyle” and many more from my recent project like “Street Loveee” and “Hold On”.
What am I most proud of? Honestly, not giving up. Remaining resilient, strong, and willing to learn throughout it all. I’ve gone through so much as a PERSON, let alone as an artist. A lot of people in my shoes would’ve given up ages ago, and some have.
But I believe that’s what separates me from others, or makes me one of “The Chosen Ones”. My will to push through despite the challenges I may face.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Man, there’s sooooo many people that deserves credit that I would hate to mention and forget. But I do want to give a huge shout out to my pain, my struggles, and any & every bad decision that I’ve made that I had to sit & face by myself. Those things alone have created a different type of hunger as a person that no mentor or coach could ever imagine.
Other than that I’d love to give a huge shout out to my producer & engineer ‘Jamaal Anderson’ along with my other fellow Artist friends & associates. They’ve guided and helped me along the way.
