Today we’d like to introduce you to Traci Pyle.
Hi Traci, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband and I bought Must Be Heaven in 1999. We had both worked for Sysco Foods and just fell in love with Brenham and the downtown restaurant..
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like running a restaurant is always a love/ hate relationship. You just have to love it more than hate it! It’s a tough business but it has so many rewards and can be so fun. So I’d definitely say i have way more Love than Hate. Some days when people don’t show up for work or equipment breaks down.its a hate. But good days can be so good!! It’s definitely worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are known for our pies and sandwiches and our down home cozy atmosphere. We have a lot of antiques in the restaurant including an original 50’s soda fountain. A visit to Must Be Heaven is an experience. Where you get good food but also feel warm and at home. My goal is to make lasting memories for our customers. A place you want to go back to again and again.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Come see us! We have a vibrant downtown that we’d love to share with you as well as a drop in for a memorable lunch. We are very kid and elderly friendly. We are located between Houston and Austin and make a great meeting place.
