Life & Work with Taylor Pulliam of Missouri City, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Pulliam.

Hi Taylor, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Fresh Buckle Co was born during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Almost a year ago, my husband was diagnosed with stage two cancer while he was finishing chemotherapy. He wasn’t ready to return to work, and I found myself in a season of waiting and uncertainty. I had applied for a job at a retail store I had worked at before, but after not hearing back for a long time, I started thinking about what I could build for myself, something that could eventually grow into a way to help my family too.

I’ve always been passionate about car seat safety, strollers, and wagons. As a mom to a beautiful two-year-old son, I’ve spent countless hours researching car seats and baby gear. I know how quickly these items get dirty from everyday life with kids, and I also know how hard it can be for parents to keep up with everything. Car seats and strollers take the brunt of spills, snacks, and busy schedules, and I wanted to create a service that truly helps parents take something off their plate.

After walking through cancer and chemotherapy with my husband, our family made a big shift toward a low toxic lifestyle. That journey deeply influenced Fresh Buckle Co. We are a non toxic company and intentionally use gentle, non toxic products because we want to treat every child’s gear like it is our own. We believe parents deserve peace of mind knowing their child’s car seat and stroller are cleaned with the safest products possible.

Motherhood has also been deeply personal and transformative for me. Three months postpartum, I struggled with severe postpartum depression and anxiety. During that time, I found my faith and gave my life to Christ. My relationship with God changed everything for me, and my business is rooted in that faith. I believe Fresh Buckle Co is through Him and for Him, and I trust Him to guide and provide through this journey.

To me, this business is about much more than cleaning. When I pick up a car seat, stroller, or wagon, I know I’m helping a parent who may be overwhelmed, exhausted, or simply in need of a little support. I take a lot of pride and care in my work, and we pray over every piece of gear before returning it to families. We also include cards from local mom owned businesses because supporting other moms in my community is very important to me.

Fresh Buckle Co is about serving families, supporting moms, and building something meaningful with purpose, faith, and heart.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of my biggest obstacles has been perfectionism. I care so deeply about every family we serve, and I sometimes struggle with the pressure of wanting everything to be absolutely perfect. I worry about someone being disappointed, even when I’ve given my very best.

Time is another challenge. I would love to serve more areas and help more families, and sometimes it feels like there just aren’t enough hours in the day. I recently added two amazing women to my staff, which has helped us expand and serve more communities, but I still wish I could be everywhere at once. My heart is to reach as many families as possible, and learning to balance growth, quality, and rest has been a journey

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I know there are other car seat cleaning companies out there, and this isn’t a brand-new concept. What sets Fresh Buckle Co apart is my faith. That is what I want to be known for more than anything. I want to be known as someone who loves God and follows Christ. He died for my sins, and there is nothing I could ever do to repay that. That is the foundation of my life and my business.

Yes, what I do is clean children’s car seats, strollers, wagons, whatever a parent needs cleaned for their child, I will do. But it’s my heart behind the work that makes it different. I put everything I have into this business, and I do it all for the glory of God. Serving families with love, care, and integrity is my way of honoring Him in the everyday

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice will always be to pray. When I was unsure of what was next for me, I asked God to guide me. He closed a door that I really wanted to stay open, and in that season I learned to trust Him to open the right door instead.

I truly believe the Lord will show you the way. When the timing is right, you’ll know. So my encouragement is to pray, pray for your family, pray for your business, and pray for the next steps in your life. Inviting God into every part of your journey brings clarity, peace, and direction, even when the path isn’t what you expected.
